Hello, I want to set up a zope intranet site with focus on document archiving and search. I understand that I can upload e.g. HTML, MSWord Documents or PDFs via the respective products. these are supposed to be searchable via ZCatalog. The problem is that we have a rather complex directory structure with a likewise complex permission system. How can I accomplish that a specific search result is only presented to users that have the right to view this object? Does the catalog take care of this itself? Using DTML to update ZCatalog

Hello, I was trying to update a ZCatalog within a DTML Method by using DTML. I could not figure it out how to do it. I have the following structure: MyFolder | |--MyDTML_Method | |--MyZCatalog Within the DTML Method "MyDTML_Method" I would like to use some DTML Code to update the "MyZCatalog" so I do not need to go in the "Advanced" View of "MyZCatalog" and click the [Update] button. Any idea what DTML Code can do this ? Newbie: PayPal and Zope

Hi. I'm trying to set up a website that registers people for a conference. I'd like to restrict access to the conference registry form to people who have already paid to a PayPal account (i.e., registered). What's the most effective way to do this? The solution I've come up with so far (I'm not a programmer by profession) is to have PayPal send customers who have paid to a dtml script that sets a cookie value and then redirects the customer to a form viewable only if the cookie has the correct value. But this model is insecure because there's nothing to prevent someone who *hasn't* paid to PayPal from running the script if they know what its URL is; and if I set some security block on it in Zope, then it wouldn't run when people who *have* paid were directed there. Obviously I'm missing something or just not looking in the right place. Maybe PayPal's confirmation email could be used in some way? Any pointers/help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Anthony

The Set tag, DC?

I might be out of date, but I just discovered the set tag. http://www.zope.org/Members/Ivo/SetTag I'm not going to install it (cause I'm not alone on the server and I don't want to confuse my close zope friends), but I like it a lot. Maybe I should have cross posted this message to zope-dev?? The set tag is described at: http://www.zopelabs.com/cookbook/992331398 by ivo. Simplest case: # old situation <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('foo', 10*2)"> # new situation <dtml-set foo="10*2"> I know little about this product, but I like it because newbies will like it. It is very intuitive and makes a lot of DTML sense. So many of the Zope newbies are developers who come from Perl or ASP or whatever, and instead of forcing all the new stuff on them, we should invite them humbly by making them feel at home. Sucking up to newbies in a nutshell :) What does DC think about this? My vote is for including it in DTML in the near future after proper QA.

Comparing returned Python Script values

Hi, I have two Python Scripts that returns a string when called. I need to test if the returned string values are equal. For testing purposes I have created two Python Scripts (script1 and script2), each containing only the following line of code: return 'test' The following DTML tells me that my strings are not equal: <dtml-if expr="script1 == script2"> Strings are equal <dtml-else> Strings are *not* equal </dtml-if> The following Python Code does the same: if context.script1 == context.script2: print 'Strings are equal' else: print 'Strings are *not* equal' return printed Printing context.script1 and context.script2 gives me this: <PythonScript instance at 87e6168> <PythonScript instance at 86ce928> It seems that I'm comparing the script instances instead of their returned values. How do I get to compare the returned values? Thanks a lot, Andreas.

FileUpload and Python Script

Can somebody help me on how I can get the filename of a FileUpload object in a python script? When using following code in a python script, context.REQUEST['accessory_image'].filename I get always the following error : Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: 'string' object has no attribute 'filename' It's obvious that I doing something wrong, but what? redirect in python script ... raise error?

Hi all, I'm trying to show a html page after I performed an action all this in a python script. I'm trying to redirect a page, but unfortunately, this doesn't work. I've the following script context.sql_methods.products_delete(aID=context.REQUEST['aID']) url=context.REQUEST.URL1 raise 'Redirect', url This will give me an sql error. (but the sql_method is correct). If I remove the redirect rule, then everything works like it should exept that I get my confirmation page Is there a way to another way to a redirect? Otherwise I'm forced to go to DTML-Methods :-( Thanks in advance, Tom.
