Hi all, this might seem like a dumb question, but I will ask anyway. I have a web form which asks users to upload files. I want to be able to check the length or size of the file. How do I do so? I tried _.len(REQUEST['FormFileVariable']) but got an error. Thanks in advance.

Filing files in zope

Hi, Is it possible to store many file in a linux folder and to be able to list them (with many different properties) under zope ? I'd like to be able to search on them with these properties but I don't want the files to be in the ZODB... Is Localfs helpful for that ? Bye. How to give each individual have their own Calendar?

Hi i'm creating a dental system, and i need Calendar Folder to keep track the appointment and events for each dentist. But i dont know where and how do i allocate the calendar folder so that each dentist can have their own calendar. Can u give me some ideal? cascading dictionaries in dtml

I am building a dictionary in an external method: dict = {'user_name':'jim', 'password':'powers'} I also add it to the request using: container.REQUEST.set('results', dict) The problem is that I am unable to retrive the results dictionary on my dtml document. When I do: <dtml-var "REQUEST.get('results')"> I can see my dictionary but I am not able to get the individual values in the dictionary. Nothing worked so far. I guess it's a case of cascading dictionaries in dtml document. Help, please

Trimming a text field in a form

Hey all, Another question. How do you trim a form field with dtml? I have JavaScript doing it when the form is submitted, but that doesn't help much for those browsers whose user's have disabled JavaScript. In ColdFusion, or even the dreaded ASP, I had a Trim() function at my disposal. Is there something that I can do with dtml - possibly a python expression that I use in a <dtml-call expr=""> type thingy? Thanks in advance, Tommy Innovation: The Best Way To Predict The Future ... You should have logging enabled (search for STUPID_LOG_FILE for more info). The STUPID_LOG_FILE shows every event that is triggered, along with any error conditions that may have occurred. Look inside the Schedule object and make sure the event is scheduled. If somehow it is not scheduled, you can reschedule it by making (or feining) an update to it's scheduled time. HTH. Is there a "Virtual Folder" Product??

Hi everyone, I have one quick question. Our current directory structure is the following: root |- english | |-> standard_html_header | `- research | `-> index_html, Aims, Projects ... `- german |-> standard_html_header `- research `-> index_html The main problem is that there are pages that are only maintained in the english -> research folder where there are no aequivalents in the german -> research folder. It would be great if a Zope product existed that would "mirror" _only_ the contents of the english -> research folder to the german -> research folder so that a call to http://server/german/research/Aims would be the german standard_html_header along with the (english) Aims document. Does such a product exist? It would be great if anyone could point me to a solution to this problem. ODBC DA with Zope2.4.0

I'm new to Zope and just installed the latest version (2.4.0). I also downloaded the ZODBCDA driver (it seems rather old to me (1999)). Is this the current driver? Where do I get the latest version? I installed the driver in the products folder and the system gives me an error that python15.dll can not be found. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Thomas

hi, I am setting up a client area on our site w/ LoginManager. That works fine. I have: www.us.com (folder of of root) all_our_html_files clients (folder) alc_users (LoginManager) index_html (redirects to client_? based on logon id) client_x client_y index_html private_resource private_resource public_resource (folder) I need a hand setting Zope so that once authenticated client_x can not see anything or access anything other than there own client_? folder and all resources in it.
