"Downloading and Installing Zope"

On... http://www.zope.org/Documentation/Misc/InstallingZope.html ...from which I came from just after downloading Zope 2.4.0. There is no title, and the section on installing from source says that one must have p 1.5.2. Could reponsibles please update this?

ftp access not working

When logging into zope via ftp, the authentication works fine, but the service hangs indefinitely upone requesting a file list. Anyone encountered and/or solved this problem? Im having some trouble on using URL parameters in zope. What I'm doing: I put in the browser: http://xxxxxxxxxxx.com/document?param=testpage Then in the 'document' page I have the following code: <dtml-var param> Then, what I get in the browser is the strin "testpage", instead of what I wanted, wich would be the content of the 'testpage' document. How can I make the content of test page appear?? Thanks a lot

Troubleshooting zope ftp

My ftp connection to zope hangs after a successful login. I ahve been unable to find any reference to such a problem in the archives. ParsedXML, or Zope and XML?

Hi. Is anyone using ParsedXML? What are the experiences? I can see that the maintainer of ParsedXML has left Zope Corporation. Does anyone know how development will be ahead? Are there any plans to have XML repositories in Zope, with XSL/XSLT applied when rendering the page? -- MVH Jørgen H. Fjeld

File Uploads and SSL

HI all, I'm having a very strange problem, and I hope at someone else has had this happen to them ;) When using SSL and Zope (versions ranging from 2.3.1 to 2.3.3), I have a form that allows upload of a document. The problem is that files over 11-12k in size never finish. If I take SSL out of the equation then files of arbitrary size upload and finish with no problem. I've tried this with M2Crypto and Apache mod_ssl and both suffer from the same problem. I have no real idea what's going on here, anyone else have any ideas? tia Phil

I would really be interested in that hotfix solution, but I have not yet understood, if my following code would do what you meant with: "You would need to merge the Application's __bobo_traverse__ with that of MFolder". --- snip ---- from OFS.Application import Application from Products.MFolder import MFolder Application.__bobo_traverse__ = MFolder.__bobo_traverse__ --- snip ---- Or would I have to define a new __bobo_traverse__ (i.e. "merge" both of them - how?) and assign that new one to Application.__bobo_traverse__ ? It would be very nice if you could still provide me with further information/implementation despite me being rude with BCC. Another "problem" I'm currently having with MFolder I have described in the mailing list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/zope/message/67633 http://groups.yahoo.com/group/zope/message/67642 which concern index_html difficulties. Strange Behaviour in my dtml-method

I am having some problems with a little bit of code I wrote that is of the following format : 1 <dtml-call SomeExpensiveFunction> 2 <dtml-in someListIHave> 3 <dtml-if "_['sequence-item'] == ''"> 4 <dtml-call "RESPONSE.redirect('page_to_see_error_message')"> 5 </dtml-if> 6 </dtml-in> 7 <dtml-call AddSomethingToMyDatabase> 8 <dtml-call "RESPONSE.redirect('page_to_see_results')"> The above code processes some data that I input from a form. I left a field blank and I would be redirected at line 4 to see the error message. Unfortunately I got something else. Instead of stopping at line 4 the above code redirects me at line 8 executing line 7 in the process. # When I redirect from a dtml method, is such a redirect functionally equivalent to a return statement in C that causes processing to stop??? #I interpret that behaviour to mean that the the above code executes until the loop is finished and then continues to execute. The result is that I am redirected twice, first to see the error message and finally to see the results. If this is the case, is there a tag to stop looping and "return". Thanks in advance Karl
