LARGE FILE SUPPORT

I'm using Zope with python and i'm having problems due to my Data.fs file is over 2GB. According to Python's Library Reference 8.1.1 I have to re-compile python with this sentence: CC="-D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64" export CC ./configure 1- I'm using Red HAt Linux 6.2 How do I know if it's large-file-capable ? 2- How do I re-compile python as described in 8.1.1, there's any step-by-step guide ? ZSQL question

Hello! I have a problem. I have a form, which contains 10 chekboxes. All checkboxes names are IDS. And the values are different. I made a ZSQL method: "update Table set STATE = 2 where UID = <dtml-sqlvar id type=string>" If I test it with the Test tab of Zope ZSQLmethod , it works. If I call it from a dtml method, like <dtml-call expr="updateZSQL(id='dasdasds-gsd-gwwe-bgvsdg')">, it works fine. But I cant use the values from the form. I try this: <dtml-in IDS> <br><dtml-var sequence-item> <dtml-call expr="updateZSQL(id='<dtml-var sequence-item>')"> </dtml-in> It only writes the values of checkboxes to the HTML page, but doesn't make the update in the database. Comparing object values?

Dear all, Stuck on something at the moment, which I hope you can shed some light on: I'm trying to use a dependency in order to decide whether to print a value; the dependency being on the 'page' having an ID of index_html Code snippet: <dtml-unless expr="id=='index_html'"> <dtml-var id> </dtml-unless> This does not work - I'm assuming this is because ID is an object, rather than a string, and therefore not comparable. I've tried converting the object to a string, but this goofs and prints nothing to the screen: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('page_id', _.str(id))"> <dtml-var page_id> but this deposits something like: <Python Method object at 14c9990> within the source, before I get anywhere near trying to make comparisons... Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I've forgotten to say it in my announce of the patch: The title property is also set to the original file name this way: title: file:/My dad naked.jpg Perhaps we should discard every path component and the extension to only keep "My dad naked". Request for Status Report

Hi all, I hope somebody inside or outside Digital Creations can give me some more information on the following topics. I need to make a decission on these now and I would like to know a little bit about there future. I know everybody is busy, I'm just asking, hope that doesn't do much hurt. If for a certain reason, I should now all the answers to these questions myself (eg if they are somewhere posted) then let me know and guide me to the information source, thanks! I'm using the core session tracking product in a project. I would like to use it again, but: It seems the development stopped a few months back. That is, before there were more updates to the project and now there aren't. This can be a good or a bad sign. I also thought that this product would be implemented in the zope core. Now lot's is happening with the core lately (move to zope 2.4 with python 2.2.1). My question, Is the core session product still under development, is it finished or is it depreciated? Will it be someday in the zope core and how does it work under zope 2.4? Further I'm looking at the Zope Page Templates. I would like to look deeper in to it (sorry, hadn't the time to look at it earlier), but how does it work under Zope 2.4? Will it be (at the end) in the zope core as well? ZPT is dependent on ParsedXML, where is this project going? Is the latest version now also available on Windows (I'm one of these guys who doesn't has a really prefered operating system, I use both)?
