Hi Walter, make sure the user you specify in the Oracle Connection has execute privileges on the procedure you want to call. user permission on folder documents

Hi there, I want to create an admin page for supervisor to grant permissions to fellow workers in a matrix type screen. What I have done is created a list of users underneath top folder, then created a list of projects and assigned permission for update to different roles. File upload and setting Property

Hi, I want to upload a file and set some Propertys on this file. Permission disappears on server restart, ParsedXML, ZPT

Running Zope 2.3.3 (no patches) on RH Linux 7.1 I have a product in Control_Panel. Products In that product, there is a zclass that has a ParsedXML object in the product's methods folder. The ParsedXML object is used within a python script (also a method of the zclass), called from a ZPT (also a method of the zclass) to render some javascript code. Logged in users (even manager users) get an Unauthorized on the ParsedXML object, unless I set the "define permissions" tab on the Parsed XML object to "access contents information --> access contents information" Once this is done, the DOM can be traversed from the pythonscript. However when I restart the server, that permission changes itself back to (disabled). I have to manually reset the permission every time the server is started. Guess: "File" does not have a "dictionaries" method (but "names" and "data_dictionary"). Seems to be a case for the Collector. I seems bad to have almost identical code in two different modules. manage_clone and proxy roles

Hi: I have a folder "test" and in the folder "test" there is another folder "f". I want to have a method (preferably a python method) which creates a copy of "f" in the folder "test" and I want anyone to be able to do it (not just managers) so, I created a python method "c" as: context.manage_clone(context.test.f, 'f2') return "done" which works fine when I am logged in as manager, but throws up a login dialog when I am not. No problem, I figure, set the proxy role on "c" to 'Manager' and everything should be cool. Nope. Hmm. I think maybe this is not possible from python methods, so I try a dtml-method, as such: <dtml-call "manage_clone(f, 'f3')"> done Again, works fine when I am logged in as manager, but even if I set the proxy role on the method to 'Manager' I get the login dialog. I know I should probably be using a Zclass, but this seemed so simple 4 hours ago that I thought I would just zip it off this way. ~~Aargh!~~ Thanks for any wisdom!
