Troy, Everything's now working. Sorry for not cc'ing group. I'm slow tonite. The error dump below was due to a missing home page? I don't know. Unfortunately, I can't claim twsite.bizland.com :) You shouldn't need to change anything for basic operation. If you want to run on port 80, you'll need to edit start.bat if you run Zope manually. Change z2.py -D # D for Debug to something like z2.py -w 80 # w for www Note that I'm working on linux and don't have start.bat in front of me. Setting up Zope on NT with ZServer

Hi, Loaded Zope on my machine yesterday. It's great! One problem that I haven't resolved is getting the web server to dish out pages when I type http://ip_address in my browser. I have added my static IP address to the IP_ADDRESS variable in z2.py and the DNS IP for name resolving. Any help would be appeciated! Joseph

Zbabel problems

I'm using Zbabel 2.0.0 beta 3 with Zope 2.5b3 on win 2000k. I'd like Know if dtml-babel tag can contain html tag, particularly anchor tag (i.e. if I can use: <dtml-babel ...> bla <a..>bla</a> bla </dtml-babel>). Moreover I have some text in dtml-babel tag that doesn't appear in labels in translate view of my Zbabel-instance (I have viewed the page with these tags): is it possible Zbabel fail or am I mistaking something? get recordid for an object

Given an object that I know is in a catalog how can I get its recordid? I know how to get the object using the recordid but I would like to use the recordid as a unique value for another lookup that it makes a lot of sense to use it for. As long as it remains unique for about 5-10 minutes in most cases that is more then enough for what I need it for. Designing web applications http://webme-eng.com

Options for NT authentication and authorization?

I'm looking for a way to authenticate Zope users off an NT network; on this count, I know I'm fine - I've used exUserFolder's smb authentication support without a problem - but, in that case, roles have to be mapped manually. But I'm looking for a way to check to see if a user is in an NT group in order to assign particular roles. Does anyone know if there are any user folder products or Python libraries for doing this (determining if a user is a member of a group). Ideally, this would be something that could be done on a Unix based server authenticating off a WinNT box on the same network, provided that such is possible... Thoughts? Accessing sub methods

I think I got Zope running stable now. Thanks for the helpful feedback. I am now trying to copy-n-paste data from my existing intranet to create a "look-alike" version in zope. We use LOTS of includes in our pages so I have copied the contents of the includes into a folder called /includes as DTML Methods. Now, I want to alter the /index.html and pull-in the data from that folder. This does not work: <dtml-var /include/clock> How do I pull-in the DTML Methods from a sub-folder?
