Hi, I've done quite a bit of searching for this problem I have. I get the following traceback from changing a role of a document to Manager: Forbidden You are not authorized to change addUser because you do not have proxy roles. But I change granted owership of the permission to myself in the folder and also document security tabs. So, I've read as much advice that you have to own the role (Change Proxy roles), which I think I just did. I also have it set in the root. Something wrong? Thanks, Paul Zwarts

2 Zope Developers Needed in Silicon Valley

I am looking for two Zope developers to work in Silicon Valley, California, starting very soon. I am looking for someone who has completed some Zope sites, and has a good object modelling background. Squishdot knowlege is a plus. Text filtering background is also valuable. Python and DTML are of course essential. We will probably be using the ZODB. PDF's behave different with MS 5.0 Browsers

Dear Supporters! My ZOPE Version is already 2.5.0b2, so I was happy to find this bug in Zope's HTTP Range support fixed. This was our first real big stepping stone a few weeks ago. The actual problem could be solved by dropping the DLL "nppdf32.dll" from the ADOBE Acrobat installation path into the MS 5.0 Internet Explorer's PLUGIN-Folder. This DLL exists for Acrobat 4.0 (50KB) and 5.0 (110KB). Some older installations in my company did not install it this way. If several Explorer 5.0 directories exist, Adobe chooses only one: A trap, if IE starts from the other location. Thank you very much for the idea to visit the MS Knowledgebase. This article (Q262213) explains a solution. But there is still a different treatment of PDF's imported into the ZOPE database, if I use different dialogs. Is there a tool how to analyse the database, without reading it in a text modus? ER: [Zope] Options for NT authentication and authorization?

I had the some problem about a month ago. I solved the user authentication problem using the jcNTUserFolder product, but this product doesn't get the NT groups as roles either. So I changed a couple of files in my Zope installation (User.py and Role.py in folder lib/python/AccessControl) and I got it. If you are interested in this solution, I can send these files to you and some installation instructions, but I don't think they would work with exUserFolder, so you would have to use jcNTUserFolder. By the way, I don't know if I should upload this solution to the Zope.org website, as it is not entirely a product, but I think it could be interesting for many people. If the Zope.org webmasters are reading this, please tell me if you want it or not. And if you do, please give me some instructions on how I should do this, as I have never uploaded anything there (name of the product, folder, password, etc). But I'm looking for a way to check to see if a user is in an NT group in order to assign particular roles. Does anyone know if there are any user folder products or Python libraries for doing this (determining if a user is a member of a group). Ideally, this would be something that could be done on a Unix based server authenticating off a WinNT box on the same network, provided that such is possible... Thoughts? PCGI Error explanation

Anyone, I'm getting the following errors in my pcgi.log file. I do not know what the mean. could someone enlighten me? If you don't know what they mean could you please point me to some documentation on how PCGI logs errors? My setup is Zope 2.2.0 on Windoze NT 4 using IIS 4 for SSL support. I've searched the mailing list and all other documentation that I could find with no luck. Display an image

I am trying load images into my pages. When I open the page it displays an ASCII dump of the image data rather than the actual image. I can view the image by itself but can't pull it into a page. What am I doing wrong? Zope Vs J2EE

Here is a way that we could get some good marketting information. There is evidently a J2EE/EJB reference application http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/sampsource/petstore/ If someone could port it to zope, and show how many fewer lines of code it takes, that would be a wonderful coup! Mozilla nightly build from 20020120 fixes bug in 0.9.7
