Could you then stuff your results into a dictionary, using as the key something unique, perhaps path or absolute url? As the dictionary is stuffed with duplicates, they will just get over written. Hi, I have a fairly simple query about processing zcatalog search results. I want to search a zcatalog of dtml pages based on their text content and title. At the moment, I'm doing two separate searches and concatenating the results using a script, much the same as the example in the zope book. When the two results are concatenated duplicates may occur, so I'm looking for a way to join the two correctly. This must be a fairly common requirement, but I can't find any similar examples. ExternalEditor and Emacs

Can someone tell me how to configure ExternalEditor to work with Emacs? I am getting this error: Fatal Error: Editor did not launch properly. External Editor lost connection to Editor process. I am running Zope 2.6 on Windows 2000 pro with emacs 21.2. Thanks.

Hi, Sorry to be so long in replying - had to go on to other projects and leave this one! We are running Easy Publisher 1.7 on top of Zope 2.5.1 on Apache (sun0s5). The browsers that cause the problems are IE 6 (SP1). I thought this problem could be solved with External Editor 0.6 but this does not seem solve the problem. Using Netscape Navigator works fine (however we need IE6 in order to use the wysiwyg editor in Easy Publisher). I can get it to work on my box (Windows98), but attempts on Windows 2000 Professional or NT fail. I think maybe the change I spoke about below came from the upgrade from IE5 to IE6, but since we at that time were also patching Easy Publisher it is difficult to say exactly what had changed. IOError while refreshing product

Hi, I currently use Zope-2.6.0 on a Debian GNU/Linux system (kernel 2.4.18) with Python-2.1.3 ; it's a "fresh" install of Zope made from sources. I'm writing Zope products and when I try to refresh them, I sometimes get an error message : Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. IOError Sorry, a site error occurred. PCGI Timeout

Hi, Does anyone have any idea how to stop the pcgi wrapper timing out when zope is trundling through a long operation? I don't have access to a windows C compiler either, so I hope I'm not down on my luck here... I've been forced to use IIS on windows 2000, although this is actually working fine other than this timeout thing. If anyone else is trying to use IIS, there's a rewrite tool from qwerksoft <www.qwerksoft.com> which can be used with pcgi to do all the usual rewriting. You have to pay for it (I'm not on commission) but I've found it to be good. Thanks for any help on this timeout issue at all. Miles

It's impossible in Zope 2.6 to define that the only objects allowed in ZClass A objects are Bs, because B doesn't show up in the appropriate list). Is there a way to hide python classes, so that they can be added in their particular containing objects only? E.g.: Portal (contains) Layout (contains) Site (contains) Page I know I could throw an exception when the parent object is not of the right type, but that seems to me only the second best solution. -- (sorry for any unfriendly footer added automatically against my wishes... please ignore it!)

traversal hook

Hello, I would like to hook one of my dtml methods in the traversal to check request parameters and set additional information. SiteAccessRule has no access to the user or session information. Is there any other product/solution? Thanks Ulrich
