Password function to manager screen broke?

Zope folks, Several times now I've tried to get into the manager screen from the zope home page (both http://localhost.localdomain and the actual hostname.domain of this box) without any luck. I tried the user & passwd given after the install and that didn't work. So I "cd /usr/share/zope" and "python2.1 zpasswd.py access", go through the prompts. Here's the access file: admin:password That's it. There's not even a CR at the end of the one line. Because I chose "cleartext" for encoding, you can see the user is "admin" and the password is "password". At the prompt for "Domain restrictions:" I just hit "Enter" (though I tried other things... don't really know what this prompt is asking for anyway). Nothing has worked. I even restarted zope a few times in between some of these attempts. What else can I do so I can log into the manager screen? thanks, ken

Jim, I took the QSurvey.zexp file you sent to me, and imported it into ControlPanel/Products. No problems there. but, our site is too big for a full site FIND....times out. BUT, whilst poking around, I ran across a copy of the folder where the original survey was. I deleted that survey and we removed the ZClass again. Everything works fine now. The Advanced TAB on ZSQL Methods is functioning again. THANK YOU! -Allen

Why, yes...as a matter of fact...we did just up to 2.6.0. When we did, we saw the QSurvey stuff in Products, did not think anyone was using it and left if out of the new Products folder when we moved everything over. So how do we resolve this? I would really appreciate anything you can offer... Thx much to everyone for insights about why Zope you think is a better tool to develop web apps over PHP. IMHO, since that's probably the first question people wonder about using Zope, I think it'd be a nice thing if someone very experienced in Zope and PHP/Perl wrote an article about this. Squishdot SystemError

I have just started getting the following error message on my zope site whenever I try to access squishdot. As far as I am aware nothing has changed on my server, the same error occurs when I add a new squishdot site and then try to view it. Can any one help? Not logging Exceptions

Hi, My Zope System has stopped logging exceptions to error_log... I've restarted, but it didn't work Everything was going ok, bu5t suddenly it stopped logging. Any idea? Also, I want to remove all the undo info and I have read about 'pack' it... how can that be done? Tahnks in advance

created a structured document

I would like to created a structure text document in a folder called docStor. The hiearchy looks like this : \-- "my add form lives here" \docStor "this is where I want to create the structured doc" I have created a form at '\' called addDoc and a script at '\' to grab fields from the form. However, I don't know the api to call to add a structured document. I've got the zope book and it uses context.manage_addProduct['OFSP'].manage_addDTMLDocument ... but I don't want to add a dtml doc. ZSQL-Method Bug????

i wrote a sql-method which contains the SQL-Statement "SELECT * FROM table" called imageList Table contains about 3000 entries. I created a DTML-Document and wanted to show all entries with a edit and delete link. I did it like this: <dtml-in "db.imageList()" size="1" start=query_start> ... </dtml-in> then i integrated forward and previous links, but if i click on the forward button i only get forward till to the 900d entry. i would be happy, if someone could help me

ZEO 2/Zope 2.6 status

What's the current status of using ZEO 2 with Zope 2.6? I know that last month folks were saying use 2.6 with the ZEO from CVS, but I notice we have a ZEO 2.01b on the download site and 2.6b1 is, of course, out there. Do these fellers play nice together? And do we still have to compile the Zope as an unprivileged user like the posts were saying last month?
