I created ZSQL query and added an argument using the issue_id=<dtml-sqlvar Item_Id type=string> and placing "Item_Id" in the Arguments field. Then Created a Search method (mymethod) which uses the ZSQL query via the standard <dtml-in theZSQLquery>............. Now I can create a hyperlink and pass the argument via adding the "?Item_Id=ABC123" to the end and I get the expected results. Dreamweaver 4 cannot open a file with no extension, like index_html, in WYSYWIG mode, though it can open it using the HTML inspector. My solution was to create a dtml method called index_html at the site root that looks like this: <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-var content_shell> <dtml-var standard_html_footerr> Into the dtml content_shell variable I load a ZPT document named content.htm. Dreamweaver will have no problem opening that since it has an extension. Each folder (section of your website) has a content.htm, and through the magic of acquisition, your standard header and footer will load too, and are sheilded to some extent, from inadvertant harm. Then simply change your Dreamweaver FTP port (in Preferences) to 8021 or whatever you set in your z2.py, go to Site Manager, connect, and edit normally. Dreamweaver MX should be out shortly. I hope it will support extensionless files. Another solution was to ditch Dreamweaver in favor of JASC Namo WebEditor, which has no problems opeing files without extensions in WYSiWIG mode, and is generally a good and affordable alternative to Dreamweaver. Hi there, how do i add an ExternalFile triggered by a script in the extensions folder? self.manage_addProduct['ExternalFile'].manage_add(id="...", title="...", description="...", target_filepath="...", basedir="...", upload_file="...") doesn´t work thank you, oliver

how can I force download of a word document as a file and not have it calling word?

When I have a file object that contains a word doc "viewing" it fires up word and displays the document. What I really want is that the save file dialog is presented. So how can I suppress the default behavior? Robert

Newbie Question - starting up Zope

Hello - I have installed Zope on an older Win95 laptop with the hope of being able to do offline "in the field" demonstrations of some work. This installation will startup correctly if I have an active connection to the Internet, however the Zope server does not start properly if there is no active connection. I have disabled the firewall with same results. Any suggestions emailed directly are greatly appreciated. ImageMagik with TexIndexNG

I am trying to build DocumentLibrary with wvware, which requires ImageMagik for wmf support. I am having trouble getting ImageMagik to compile. Some of the problems include it's refusal to recognize the installation of the Open Jpeg Groups jpeg-6b library (even with the --with-jpeg=../jpeg-6b) configure option. That may or may not be the root problem because the make fails with the problems: "undefined reference to 'png_permit_mng_features'" ...ditto... "'png_create_write_struct_2'" ...ditto... "'png_create_read_struct_2'" I am using Zope 2.5, standard gnu libraries, I have installed zlib, pnglib, libpdf, tifflib, jpeglib wv - all the latest releases as of this post. Any clues?
