Hello All, It´s possible Zope use to store the site in a MySQL, Oracle, etc ? Zope store all site in a few files in /var directory, what the limit of this internal database ? It´s reliable ? PyGoogle and Zope's Python

Hi all! I hope this is not offtopic here because it's mainly regarding Python... Clear catalog problem

Hi all, In my Zope 2.5 root folder I have a vocabulary with id Vocabulary and a Zcatalog that uses (but doesn't contain) Vocabulary. If I use "Clear Catalog" in advanced tab, and then "Find and Catalog" in "Find Objects" tab, in Catalog I have the same object number I had before clear, but Vocabulary remains empty (If I clear a zcatalog containing vocabulary, with "find object" I have in vocabulary the same number of words I had before clear). Can anyone explain me this behaviour (I haven't found informations with Google)? Thanks Michele

ldapuserfolder newbie problem: crypt not found

We just started with ldapuserfolder. During startup of the Zope server we got an error message: import error: no module named crypt And indeed, it is not there, so we forgot something, but what? This hotfix addresses an important security issue that may affect some users of Zope versions 2.0 through 2.5.1 b1. The issue involves a vulnerability involving "through the web code" inadvertently allowing an untrusted user to remotely shut down a Zope server by allowing the user to inject special headers into the response. If you allow untrusted users to write "through the web" code like Python Scripts, DTML Methods, or Page Templates, your Zope server is vulnerable. We highly recommend that any Zope site have this hotfix product installed to mitigate the issue. dtml-in sorting on lists

Hi, I would like to use dtml-in's sort functionality, but on indices of lists, not attributes. Basically, I have a function, say getLoL() that generates a list of lists ( e.g. [ [A1,A2,A3],[B1,B2,B3], ...] I can use dtml-in to loop through this like: <dtml-in expr="getLoL()"> First index: <dtml-var expr="_.getitem('sequence-item')[0]"> </dtml-in> How can I now sort based on say the second index of the sequence-item? (ie sort A2, B2, C2, etc) I've looked at the DT_In.py code, and think I need to make modifications to allow for indexing (as opposed to getattr's) but was wondering if there was an existing way. TAL and mysql

Can someone point me to a good book or document and TAL's. That would include using external DB's like mysql. I've already read The Zope Book and the book on Zope. is there anything that goes into tal and such more in depth? Coming from the PHP world and this object orianted stuff makes sense, BUT I still fall back in my old ways. pokey

ImportError: import unauthorized

I creates some Script(P7ython) in Zope: import time.strftime, time.strptime # ... AbracadabraObject searches for the "standard_object_folder" in its current path or above. So please test the following: - Create a "normal" folder called 'test' and enter it. - In the 'test' folder create a 'standard_object_folder' and add an DTML Document to this folder. - Then go back into the folder 'test'. - Try to add an AbracadabraOject. I installed your product on my NT4 machine with Zope-5.0 but it does not work. I created before a "standard_object_folder" with a DTML inside document. Then the move outside the folder "standard_object_folder". When I try to add an AbracadabraObject I obtain the following message without capability to add this object. Add Abracadabra Object An Abracadabra Object is a pre-configured object from an acquired folder called standard_object_folder. You must create a folder with the id standard_object_folder with at least one object before you can use Abracadabra Object. Bye, FR.
