error adding ST LDAP Manager object

hi, we are using LDAP User Folder connecting to openldap; adding an ST LDAP Manager instance fails with Error type: BIND_FAILURE Error value: Description: Failed to perform an anonymous bind to the LDAP server. Source: ldap.PROTOCOL_ERROR args: ({'desc': 'Protocol error', 'info': 'requested protocol version not allowed'},) To me it looks like an authentication prob; however, there´s no option to pass any credentials; Ithought ST LDAP Manager would use the LDAP User Folder´s acquired credentials. Can someone please shed some light what I am doing wrong? When you say the file object is an attribute of your ZClass, what do you mean. What superclasses are you using? Are you getting a NameError? For your last question, have you tried getting self.__class__ in your external method to access the class; I don't know if this will accomplish what you are looking to do, but it seems worth a try? proxy permission problem

Hi, lI have a python script that uses the mailhost.send() API call to send an email. In my zope setup all authenticated users (Role: Authenticated) are allowed to use mailhost services and can use it (tested it thoroughly) Hopwever this specific script is can only be used by anonymous users. To facilitate the use I went into the proxy tab of the script management console and selected 'Authenticated' and saved the changes. However, it still kicks me to the login page when I try to use the script. What more do I have to do to let me use it as Anonymous??? I can use it if I am logged in. Transcience exceeds maximum number .. ZStylesheet bug?

Not sure where to go with this.. I'm beating up my Zope server with OpenSta (thanks for dropping the link on this list the other day..) My test fails after about 980 downloads, with the traceback below. 1. I'm not using any session data. 2. I have a ZStyleSheet, but it's just being rendered.. 3. Accessing self in External Methods

Hi, I am using an external method to call wvWare and catalog a M$-Word file content. The file object is an attribute of my ZClass. The external method is called by a Python Script (PrincipiaSearchSource). I´d like to know how can I access the file atribute from the external method. I tryed directly: self.file, but it didn´t work. Does that mean ZClasses atributes are always private? How can I get this file object? Using getattr? Newbie CMF question

I've created a CMFDefault object of type "Document" within my CMF site. I'm now attempting to use that Document object as I would a DTML document, with no success -- the content of the Document appears to be parsed as HTML and the DTML tags are ignored. Since I'm obviously going about this the wrong way, what's the best way to access DTML content from within a CMFDefault Document? Is there a way to create a separate DTML object or method and then embed this within the Document's HTML? Thanks in advance, -Eric

xmlrpc redirect response

Hello, When I try to adding an DTML Document by xmlrpc call the following error appear: xmlrpclib.ProtocolError: <ProtocolError for localhost:8080/RPC2: 302 Moved Temporarily> The 302 error code is about redirect response. I think there is no make sense redirect in xmlrpc call, so change zope source. I put the following method at Response class in xmlrpc.py file: def redirect(self, location, status=302, lock=0): pass What do you think about it? Is there any problem? -- Marco Catunda

I am building/(cobbling together in Python) a Product called "DraftFolder" that holds Draft Documents.... These draft documents are catalog aware and I am trying to programmitcally add a Custom Catalog called "Draft Catalog" that will catalog them inside DraftFolder.... The Draft Catalog has a bunch of static attributes (I havent been able to make a ZClass successfully....) and I have an instance of it in the regular file hierarchy..... What I need to do is get that static instance of the Draft Catalog to automatically install inside of DraftFolder whenever I create an instance of DraftFolder.... I have been trying for about three days now - but to no avail Is there a simple way of adding static Files to an instance programatically? IF it's there and obvious, I am not seeing it.... WPH
