ZUBB in ZPT

Has anyone ported ZUBBs dtml methods to ZPT? I'm thinking about integrating ZUBB within a portal and I don't want to replicate work if possible. Session timeout

How can I in an easy way find out when a session expires? On way would be to store in the session "SessionSetDateTime" and then look at the session_data object and do the math. Before I do that I just wanna check if there already is a way to do this stuff. Is there. Like <dtml-var "REQUEST.SESSION.expiresWhen()"> or <dtml-var "REQUEST.SESSION.minutesLeft()"> --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. cookies and paths?

Heya, Is it possible to have two cookies with the same name and different paths? It seems to me that ZPublisher/HTTPResponse.py is keying cookies off the name, and storing things like the path under that. Came up because I'm holding different cookies for different paths in a site - __ac, to be exact - and the userfolder I'm currently using sets a base-level __ac, while I want to set a /path __ac. Trying to expire both is proving difficult - I can expire one or the other, it seems. KevinL

Deiter, I followed this procedure and ended up recieving the following error. It basically says that I dont have the right version of the python installed. I have python2.2 installed. I unistalled zope-zmysqlda-2.0.8 and the py-MySQLdb-0.9.1 and then reinstalled zope-zmysqlda-2.0.8. This installs the correct version of required packages.. It should work...any idea's? SiteRoot <base...> problem

Can the <base href=.....> tag insert in the <head> block be disabled. I think this is something of the VirtualHostMonster, but I don't see why I would want it and it gives me a problem that I don't know how to solve. I have a multiple language site called quadgames.com , which has the option to change language by linking to the current page with an additional newlanguage=XX parameter. If a page is requested with this parameter than a session variable that stores the current language is modified. This works great! But now I added another site that should serve exactly the same content but with another default language (the site is called: quadgames.nl) . When Zope 'sees' that is a new session and no 'newlanguage' parameter is available then the default language is english (for the .com domain) and dutch (for the .nl domain). Great: this should actualy work if it wasn't for the fact that when the user selects a link (href/picture) the <base...> tag makes that all links refer to either the ipadress of the server or the .com or the .nl domain (whichever I select in SiteRoot). And when the user goes to the other domain it looks (this what I think happens) as if the session info is no longer valid (because we are on another domain now?) and the incorrect language is selected. I could make all links absolute but I don't want to be forced to do this! Does anyone uncerstand what I mean and is there a solution to my problem? kind regards, Eric

Hi, I was trying out zKnowMan ,a Zope based knowledge management tool . But when i try to create and instace of it i get this error. Error Type: IOError Error Value: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/homer/cijiisen/zope/Products/ZKnowMan/zkmBatchDownloader' Any ideas! Thanks, Ciji Isen

cannot install TextIndexNG on solaris 5.6

I have installed TextIndexNG-1.05alpha1 under Linux and Zope-2.5.1 succesfully. Hey Matt, while we are on the subject, I just wanted to make sure I had something right (and figured you might know): I know that affinity helps a single Zope instance on an SMP box, but how about 2? With Python's global interpreter lock (or whatever makes Python/Zope best suited to bind to a given CPU) - am I still going to run into problems if I am using the same Python to run 2 Zope instances in different software/instance homes, with all respective processes for each given Zope bound (via affinity) to respective CPUs? Or is this okay? I have some existing 2P AthlonMP and Xeon boxes, and I'd like to get the most zoom out of their horsepower as possible... Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
