LDAPUserFolder Question

Hi - I am trying to authenticate against LDAPUserFolder 1.5. I'm using a MS Exchange 5.5 directory (I know, I know...). I can connect, and search for members based on both the cn and sn, but can't authenticate using CMF 1.1 and the CMFLDAP tools. I'm trying to authenticate using the cn. When I do a search, the cn shows as First.Last. When I try to logon using First.Last, I get a logon failure, and the log set at debugging level(9) shows First.Last not found. Any thoughts on being able to authenticate? bobobase_creation_time

I use the following code to show menu of items ordered by the creation time. <dtml-in expr="a.b.objectValues('Folder')" sort="bobobase_creation_time"> <a href="&dtml-absolute_url;"><dtml-var title_or_id></a> </dtml-in> this doesn't do what I expect it to do. The items are reordered almost all times I select one of them. And the reordering is not consistent. Random behavior is seen. Please throw some light.

recovering root from rogue external method

I had Zope set up on a FreeBSD box, but being too slow i moved it to a faster Windows box (faster hardware with more ram, not faster OS...)... I took the Data.fs over there, and everything seems fine... Except I can't access the root folder of the management interface. The problem seems to be an External method i was monkeying around trying to get working on the other box. I was getting an import error. I moved the script to the windows box (zhtml.py). But now I get "Failed to import class TABLE from module ZODB.zhtml" ... the class is there though? Any hints how i can get rid of this messed up object and stop my root management folder from crashing? (I don't care about recovering the external method -- it never worked... it was an experiment of long ago which i'd practically forgotten about)... It would be ever so convenient to be able to access that root folder again! I was thinking i could list/remove objects from the ZODB programmatically? Dieter, is this a bug that occured to you? Unfortunately I didn't save the traceback, and I was not able to reproduce it. Add to that the fact that my usage of DTMLFile was wrong, but why this should have caused _that_ error is not clear to me. What happend was that the method objectItems seemed not to be a method when called in the file. Before posting to this list I tried to debug what happend: <dtml-var objectItems> returned the right list <dtml-var "objectItems()"> gave the above error <dtml-var "objectItems"> returned the right list! After the last discovery, I gave up and posted here. Seems like objectItems got overwritten by the result of the method with the same name. cheers, oliver

Newbie product question

Hi, In true newbie style I have followed many examples of product making, but have got stuck going further.... I would like to subclass OrderedFolder, then as my product is created add a page template inside it. My code (patchwork of other examples) manages to create the OrderedFolderish item but no page template is created inside it. Please be indulgent I am not a programmer..... Tal:condition problem

Hi All I am trying to execute a macro only if a condition is satisified. But as soon as this page is rendered it shows me all the macros irrespective of whether I am sending any value for "id". Is there some way I can check the condition and only show the required macro.
