Deiter, I followed this procedure and ended up recieving the following error. It basically says that I dont have the right version of the python installed. I have python2.2 installed. I unistalled zope-zmysqlda-2.0.8 and the py-MySQLdb-0.9.1 and then reinstalled zope-zmysqlda-2.0.8. This installs the correct version of required packages.. It should work...any idea's? Hello, with slightly more than 4 months to go before the EOY, would someone (Paul?) care to update us on the progress in increasing the Zope user-base tenfold? Problem with Roles & Management screen.

Hi! I've been trying to define a staff role, which is basically a Manager that can create/edit/delete 2 kinds of objects (OrderedFolder, Structured Document). Now I'm getting a funny behaviour: My test user can access the "/manage" Frameset, but instead of the contents pane, the user gets the website rendered. (The frameset contains the link to manage_workspace, but this seems to be redirected to index_html :( ) So which permission do I need to set, that the "staff" role may really see the management screens? Additionally it seems, that there are "Add Structured Document" permissions, but no "Change Structured Document" permission :( Andreas

ZFloatMenu Help

Hello, I am using ZFloatMenu 2.0.1 on zope 2.4.3, cmf 1.1, winxp. I have created a zfloatmenu called hr_menu, and added a folder menu with a folder property value of hr, where hr is a portal_folder. hr_menu and hr are in the root of my cmf portal. I can click on Preview, and the menu shows up. I can call http://mysite.com/portal/hr_menu/render and the menu shows up. I have not been able to insert hr_menu into another page using any of the following: <dtml-var hr_menu> <dtml-var "hr_menu.render"> <dtml-var "hr_menu.render()"> <dtml-var "hr_menu.folder_menu"> where folder_menu is the folder menu inside of hr_menu. The relevant html source output I get is below, along with my <td></td> around the zfloatmenu. What I see on the screen is nothing - it's blank where there should be the menu. Overriding WebDAV GET?

Hi folks, My analysis of the source code for 2.5.1 is that there is presently no way to override the GET method for an object if WebDAV is being used. Is there a way to deal with this? I want to be able to get and edit a certain attribute of an object (an HTMLDocument) using WebDAV but so far all of my attempts to patch the source have failed -- GET yields the rendered version of the object, which is not what I want. FTP behavior

I noticed the other day in an FTP client, when trying to do an 'mget *' from any folder other than the root/Application object (so, in OFS.Folder), that it prompted to get '..' (if interactive mode is on). Attempting to download this causes a warning, but nothing worse. Obviously, this problem is totally benign, but I wanted to see if this would be considered a bug? Was Zope running with the -D command switch? Look in z2.py. Remove the -D and try again. I have found that if -D (debug) is set, I can crash Zope by trying to FTP into it. This is apparently because the debug mode wants to print out messages to the console of the user who started it.
