nested user folder question

Hi, I would like to have nested user folders as shown: /folder_1 /user_folder_1_1 /folder_2 /folder_3 /folder_3_1 /folder_3_2 /user_folder_3_2_1 /folder_4 /user_folder_4_1 Now in a structure like this, what are the rules regarding usernames?? Can similar usernames be used in different user folders for e.g. username user_1 is in user_folder_1_1 and in user_folder_3_2_1 and have different roles?? I tried it and it doesnt allow me to do that, also all roles seem to be inherited even though the type of user folders are different (one is custom and the other is stock). However even though I cant create users with similar usernames, the users in top level user_folders dont seem to percolate down so that I can assign them specific roles. For e.g. if user_1 exists in user_folder_1_1, I cant create it in user_folder_3_2_1 but user_1 doesnt appear in user_folder_3_2_1 so I cant seem to assign him any local roles there. How do I get around this?? zope <> flash

I'm a newbie to flash, so please pardon any silly questions. What is the most painless way to get data into and out of flash? I've found several xml-rpc documents (and I'm already a xml-rpc fan): http://www.zope.org/Members/ike/Flash-Zope/FLASH_xmlrpc_zope http://sourceforge.net/projects/xmlrpcflash Is there an easier way? I'm hesitant to use the swiftgenerator, as that seems less than ideal. I know flash can POST directly into dtml/sql methods, but can it do anything with the results? I "solved" the problem for me inserting obj._getCopy(container) # obj is the original object to be copy&pasted somewhere in my own code before manage_pasteObjects gets called. I know, it's not a proper solution. Is this a bug? Hi, Does anybody know of any product that I could use to draw bar graphs/charts on the fly in Zope??? Or any sample code using PIL that tells me how to go about it?? If you want to access the results of ZSQL queries from an ODBC connection, you will have to access them positionally. if your results are in a variable called result_set you can do something like this to list the contents of the first three columns for each row. for row in result_set: print row[0],row[1],row[2] An ugly workaround, but it works. Hi All, I am developing my first Zope/SQL application. I'm not a coder by profession (more a sysadmin) so I may be missing something. I have a database which stores information on musical scores. I am trying to write a zope interface to add new musical scores. My schema has several tables and in each table 2/3 fields need values inserted into them each time a new musical score is added. So my question is... How do I do this within one ZSQL method? Thanks, Dan
