Calling a zsql method from a python script does use request. At least I have the following in a script: context.sql_wo() sql_wo being a zsql method requiring two parameters that are in the form portion of request. SQL Forms Wizard vs. Znolk SQL Wizard...3,2,1 Fight!

Doesn't seem to be working. I get an error page that says: There was a problem with that comparison. Error: * TypeError * request() got an unexpected keyword argument 'verbose' Changing this: def request(self, host, handler, request_body): to this: def request(self, host, handler, request_body, verbose = None): seems to make it work. Are there any risks here that I'm not aware of?

REQUEST_METHOD 'LOCK' 'LOCK'

When downloading a word off a zope server using IE, the REQUEST object shows the REQUEST_METHOD as 'LOCK'. Does anyone know what this means? I get a network login prompt in windows when I try download this file. I can just cancel through it, and I get the file fine. Is the REQUEST_METHOD set to 'LOCK' related? How/where would the REQUEST_METHOD be set when downloading a file Thanks, Mark

Zope, fastcgi, Apache 2.0 - need a dummy file!?

Hi all, I am serving Zope behind Apache 2.0 using fastcgi. I find a need a dummy file with the same name as the Zope root otherwise fastcgi process manager fails with ...cannot stat /www/htdocs/Zope... Is this a "bug"? Without a dummy /www/htdocs/Zope file my content serving fails. I am using Zope 2.5.1, Apache 2.0.40, mod_fastcgi 2002-08 Snapshot (with AP2 support)... Following all the howtos: In Apache 2.0 httpd.conf LoadModule mod_fastcgi.c FastCgiExternalServer /www/htdocs/Zope -host localhost:1234 -pass-header Authorization <Location /Zope> SetHandler fastcgi-script </Location> Thanks! Spontaneous Namespace Binding Combustion with Script(Python)?

Hi there, Bit of a weird one. Delivered something to a customer last night, went home, came in this morning to find the customer was having problems. I looked at the error: Error Type: TALESError Error Value: exceptions.NameError on global name '_' is not defined in "standard:'here/xxx'", at line xx, column x ...which seemed pretty obvious. I went to the bindings tab of the python script in question and sure enough, the namespace box was empty. Now, the thing is, I _know_ this was bound when I left last night. I checked to see if anyone had edited anything, and nothing had been changed since I left last night, and there were no new transactions in the undo log. So, basically, I'm rather miffed and my confidence is a little shaken. What on earth could have happened here? cheers, Chris

Parse with KebasData (doesn't care if XML contains illegal characters or is poorly formed). To save in Zope just iterate over the add method of a your favorite product using 'match' values for the needed properties. Ken

Set FORCE_PRODUCT_LOAD with parameter rather than Env Var

Now that I have ZEO2 working, I have a lot of new details to get up to speed on. Apparently when starting a ZEO client, by default the current state of the client's python products modules are not updated to the storage server. This makes sense when multiple clients are connecting to a storage. I gather that I have to use FORCE_PRODUCT_LOAD on my ZEO client (same Zope install, same machine) to get products reloaded. I really don't want to use environment variables, though. Is there a way to pass this on the command line to z2.py instead? Thanks. I use "TextPad" (http://textpad.com/) Dreamweaver and MS Frontpage. Textpad gives me the least amount of problems (of course) but it's not wysiwyg.
