Still No TextIndexNG on Win2000

Hi All, This is an update to a problem I reported a couple of weeks ago. I'm trying to get TextIndexNG running with Zope 2.5.1 on Win2000. I've tried both the old, stable version and the latest beta release. I placed the TextIndexNG folder in lib/python/Products (as usual), and ran the setup program. Everything appeared to go well, but TextIndexNG doesn't appear as a product, or as an option in the Indexes tab of a ZCatalog item. No errors appear under the Products tab. The only feedback I get shows up in the "Top RefCounts" box under Debug Info, and it looks like this: Products.TextIndexNG.parsers.PyQueryParser.yacc.Production: 65 I'm pulling my hair out, as I really need TextIndexNG's functionality. The only feedback the start.bat file gives is a deprecation warning regarding the use of the regex module instead of the re module. Newbie LDAP question

Access Rules

Access rules use the before_traverse hook. When does that hook get invoked? Suppose a page at /a/b/c/d accesses /a/b/c/e will an acess rule at /a/b get invoked? Is there any difference in behavior for absolute_urls and relative urls?

WebDAV Redirects or overriding IDs duing creation

Hi all, Is it possible to make a redirect during a WebDAV request. For instance I have a PROPFIND one an object that has been renamed and I whan the PROPFIND to access the object with the new ID. I have tried to return a prop result with the information from the renamed object, but the client seems to ignore that (no kidding its MS Web Folder, so what did I expect ;-) Is there a correct way to do this. What I want to do is for the server to override the requested ID on any object or collection that is being created with something more appropriate like the created objects/collections meta_type. MS WebFolders defaults to "New Folder" for collections. Zope for interactive CD-ROM?

Has anybody distributed Zope as part of an interactive CD-ROM? I'm thinking it wouldn't take much to get it to run on windows and linux, at least: - zope binaries - my Data.fs - a launcher python script that starts Zope on port 8080, and starts the system's preferred browser (I forget what module does that but it's part of the python standard libs.) - start_win.bat & start_lin.sh - README :) Has anyone tried this? How to specify <name>.html from Python script?

Hello, I created a Python Script which did some stuff and should afterwards display the default page of the current container which is test.html You guess it that return container.test.html(REQUEST) will fail. I replaced it temporarily by test_html - but I would prefer the test.html notation for some reason. How to call this in the script?? Kind regards Andreas.

Allowing Regular expressions in Python Script

Hi, for using regular expressions in python script (import re ...) I used the explained method via a directory in lib/python/Products see > cat lib/python/Products/GlobalModules/__init__.py # Global module assertions for Python scripts from Products.PythonScripts.Utility import allow_module allow_module('base64') allow_module('re') allow_module('time') I can use all time attributes and methods, but when I'm calling e.g. re.compile("a").match("ba", 1) in the script I get a authentification window from zope. This happens for different plattforms. Any idea what additional rights are necessary or whats happening at that point? Hi, I have Zope 2.5.1, Win95osr2 CZ, Zope is called via separate python installation for MSWordDocument extension, QuickLinks 0.1.4 "Unzip in your Products directory either with WinZip (windows) or unzip (linux). Since the try/except clause didn't work, it's quite clear that getattr isn't raising the exception. Maybe it happens inside ZopeFind. ZopeFind also has the possibility to limit search results based on permission (see the "advanced" tab under Find in the ZMI. IIRC, you can use something like ZopeFind(..., obj_permission=[list of permissions], obj_roles=[list of roles]), where you define which roles should have which permission on the object. Another possiblity is to use obj_expr="something", where something tests if the actual user is allowed to view the object. cheers, oliver
