Hello How is the best way to make a product working in CMF and without CMF in ZOPE. I whould like to make my product working for both oppurtunity for the CMF/plone and just ZOPE without CMF/plone. Can't connect to Zope server when there is no internet connection...

Hello, Im running Zope 2.5.1 with Python 2.2 on Win2k. When I'm connected to the Internet (eg via modem and phone line), I can happily access my Zope server. However, when there is no connection available, IE 5.5 won't connect to Zope. Is there any idea what could go wrong? Lars

Fixed the pyclist.c problem. The last hurdle appears to be a missing cl.exe file. I confirmed that the file doesn't exist on my web server. ZCatalog Object Identifier

Using Zope 2.4.4 I have a zope instance that's setup like this: / /Client /Client/company /Client/company/data /Client/company/catalog I'm using VirtualHostMonster to allow access to /Client/company through a domain name. (i.e. www.company.com points to /Client/company). I have set of ZClass objects that get cataloged. If I submit them through http://www.company.com, the Object Identifier in the catalog is listed as /data/objectid1. If I submit through http://zopeinstance:8080/Client/company the Object Identifier in the catalog is listed as /Client/company/data/objectid2. A query on the catalog will return both records, however when I call getObject() on the records returned, the record identified by the relative path, ( /data/objectid1 ) returns None, while the record with the full path, ( /Client/company/data/objectid2 ) returns the object. So how do I correct this problem? How is the 'Object Identifier' used in the catalog generated? Can I force it to use the full path when cataloging objects? Why is getObject() in the first case returning None? Thanks, Mark

Preventing acquiring a permission

I am using Zope 2.5.1, and writing a product with a folderish class. I want to be able to prevent acquiring a permission from one role, while still acquiring it from another role (if the user gets that role locally). I suppose it could work by preventing the user from acquiring a role; is there already some sensible way of doing that? It seems like the concept of assigning a permission or role to a user at an object but not at any of its contained objects would be generally useful.
