Getting the correct domain at add time.

I have a Zope instance with several domain names pointing at it using Virtual Host Monster. I don't know if this is the only way to have multiple domains on a single Zope instance, but I doubt it, and I would prefer for it not to matter how it's done. BUT, I want certain trees in the object FS to remember what their "preferred" domain is. In order to make this as transparent as possible, I want to find out what the domain name was at the time that an object is added. However, absolute_url() seems not to work as I would expect it to (possibly because I'm calling it before the ZODB transaction is closed?) in my product code: def manage_addTopic(self, id, title='', REQUEST=None): """ Add a NaryaTopic. Forced non-caching in ZODB?

Anyone know of a way to code an object such that ZODB won't cache it? I'm aware you can change cache/thread parameters, but if you have a small number of sufficiently large objects, you may end up putting the system into full thrash mode by the time you set a number low enough to make a difference. You need to use the value of the 'composer' attribute to look up the proper object and then ask that for its 'title' attribute. You may be able to do this in TAL like:: # provided that Composers are stored in a folder 'composers' in the acquisition path... here/composers/$composerid/title I think this works, but you'd have to bind 'pieces/composer' to 'composerid'. But you could try:: here/composers/${pieces/composer}/title on the possibility that it works. I know exactly how in Python, though:: context.composers[pieces.composer].title #(or any number of other lookup methods, like getattr.) You could also use a reference product to do this for you. You can get programmatic references to objects in Zope, but the problem is that the web form only gives you the string. Hi Zopers Another detail that bugs me: how can I translate the following dtml code to zpt. It colours table rows in grey/white alternatively. Is the zpt version below the only way? It is clearly very inelegant to repeat code.
