Streaming video/audio through a Zope site

Hi there, What are possible solutions for offering streamed resources on a Zope site? I was thinking of running Zope behind Apache and get some other product to handle the streamed content. That way Zope serves content the usual way and the links to the streamed content points to the streaming media server software (all behind Apache, so it "looks" like it is coming from the same site). Does this solution sound viable, and are there any suggestions on the software to use as the streaming server - preferably Linux, not too expensive and something that streams a well known format and which can work with Apache. Any suggestions? Thanks Etienne

Hi, Thanks, yes you are right this a subset of users and passwords should be used. I need to think about how they check for space. I am hoping that most of their files are small. Most will be images and wave files. Thanks again. Add file

Hi, I need to find a way to my users have access to the "Add File" feature. The users do not login. I have them using index_html documents as their way to navigate through the menus. What do I need to do to place "Add File" as a link on the menu. If someone can point me in the right direction or to an example that would be great. Thanks in advance. Something else must be wrong here. It works find as long as the style information is inside the zpt page, but referring to an external css file does not work for me. I found quite some references that this is not possible with zpt, only with dtml. Others claim it can be done. What is the secret behind doing this? ANN: TextIndexNG 2.03 released

I just released TextIndexNG 2.0.3. This is an optimization release :-) and features a new internal hashing datastructure that avoids needless reindexing of objects that have not changed. This should improve reindexing performance significantly. Upgraders should reindex their TextIndexNG2 indexes after installation. move your link down into the header macro section and see if it works then. I think what might be happening is that your "head" macro is not being pulled into the generated page at all. You should be able to view source and see if the link is even showing up in the page and if it is if maybe another style sheet comes after it that throws things off.
