I want to create a zclass that has an image, some metadata properties, and two additional images. I can add the text metadata to the property sheets, but there is no type for binary data to add the other image. I am apparently think about this in the wrong way. What should I be doing?

Access object's class name (rather than meta_type)

Is there a way from Python to find objects according to their *class* name instead of by their meta_type? Whereas it is easy to find objects by meta_type, e.g. list = context.objectValues('Page Template') I need isntead to find them by the class name, i.e. the name that appears when you show a list of Zope objects, e.g. ZopePageTemplate in "<ZopePageTemplate at /foo/theTemplate>" Thanks in advance, Jon Whitener Detroit Michigan USA

Searching for ZSQL methods

I've got some old ZSQL methods floating around somewhere that are hooked to an old Database connector (ZODBCDA) that we aren't using anymore. I was trying to get a catalog to find all of the SQL methods so I can throw the old ones away, but I can't figure out how to pull out the value of the connection_id into the catalog. Is there a way to do this ("Find all ZSQLMethods where connection_id="broken")? --chris

Symtom: Zope does not try to mount the database

Dear List I have made a custom-installer for Zope. (Windows) The database is in the var catalog as always The HTTP-server gets started. But Zope does not try to mount the ZODB? Hello, I've just read article about zope on linux journal, installed it, love idea, but is it really good for high loads (100+ req / second), because it takes around 3-4 secs. for first request after some idle time of Zserver, but gets bit faster after first requests is done. Maybe there should be something like mod_zope invented, to speed things up. I'm zope newbie and most likely wrong, but i've been doing php for years. Thank You.

Using MySQL results for condition checking in ZPT

I have created a ZSQL method which expands the query results depending upon the variables supplied: SELECT <dtml-if "Category != '%' or fullSearch">Category, </dtml-if><dtml-if "Notes != '%' or fullSearch">Notes, </dtml-if><dtml-if "Language != '%' or fullSearch">Language, </dtml-if><dtml-if fullSearch>ISBN, UPC, Cost, Resale, Rate, Rent_Per, Keywords, </dtml-if>ItemID, Type, Name, Status FROM Movie_Records INNER JOIN Movie_Inv ON Movie_Records.MovieID = Movie_Inv.MovieID WHERE Status <=1 AND Name LIKE <dtml-sqlvar Name type="string"> AND Language LIKE <dtml-sqlvar Language type="string"> AND Category LIKE <dtml-sqlvar Category type="string"> AND Notes LIKE <dtml-sqlvar Notes type="string"> AND Keywords LIKE <dtml-sqlvar Keywords type="string"> ORDER BY Type, Language, Name ASC This works splendidly. My problem is displaying the results while dynamically formating the table. If the column has no results then I'd like to omit it. My TAL condition that I'm attempting to use is something like: For the Table Header: <th>Category</th> And the Body: <td>Category goes here</td> This seems very simplistic to me, but Zope doesn't agree with the way I'm access the variables. I think that my understanding of "result/Category" and Zope variables is fundamentally flawed, but I can't seem to find any clear documentation on this aspect of Zope. Problems admin/manage

HI, I am completely new at zope. I installed it at a debian server with apt-get, i can reach http://localhost:9673 , but when I try to http://localhost:9673/manage I cannot access it. Wrong username/password Nevertheless I tried python /usr/lib/zope/zpasswd.py inituser with all the possible encryptions. I also dig chown and chmod the access file. What do it do wrong ? Apache / VHM ProxyPass issue

Hi all, I've been running Zope 2.5.1 standalone on a Cobalt RaQ that runs a Red Hat variant. Apache 1.3.12 is installed, and now I'm working on getting it to front for Zope. For the virtual site my_domain, whose stuff is stored in zope_root/sites/my_site_folder, the following URL works great: http://my_ip:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.my_domain.com:80/sites/my_site_f… So I'm pretty sure I've got Zope & VHM set up correctly. Moving on to httpd.conf, I'm a bit less confident. I'm happy to post the whole thing if someone wants to see it, but here's what I believe are the relevant settings (where stand-ins like my_ip match values in the above URL). ------------- LoadModule proxy_module modules/libproxy.so AddModule mod_proxy.c Port 75 Listen 80 ProxyRequests On NameVirtualHost my_ip <VirtualHost my_ip> ServerName www.my_domain.com ServerAdmin admin ProxyPass / http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.my_domain.com:80/sites/my_si… ProxyPassReverse / http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.my_domain.com:80/sites/my_si… </VirtualHost> ------------- Set up like this, I get a RaQ-specific server mis-configuration error when I try to connect to a virtual host. Even so, a virtual host set up with DocumentRoot works fine. If I comment out the ProxyRequests directive, there doesn't appear to be a config error, but also there's no proxy service. Looking through the error logs, there is one entry that looks promising: [crit] (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to port 80 Which confuses me, since Apache is correctly handling non-proxy requests on 80 when this error kicks up. It makes me wonder if something about my proxy configuration is causing Apache to trip over itself. Does this problem look familiar to anyone here and/or have I made an obvious mistake in my httpd.conf? I've searched the Apache docs and lists without seeing anything helpful... I thought people here might have more hands-on experience with ProxyPass virtual hosting issues. Thanks in advance for any assistance, Dylan

Displaying Product Version

I'm trying to find an easy way to access (and display) the product version in document rendered from that product. Essentially to add a "<product name> <product version>" string to the page. Thanks. -- Dave
