ZopeTree cookie patch

Hi Philipp The attached patch fixes it for me. It sets a path for the cookie. It gets the path either from the 'path' attribute (if root_object is a TreeObjectWrapper) or from 'getPhysicalPath'. The 'path' attribute on TreeObjectWrapper is initialised using 'getPhysicalPath' if it was not passed in. Virtuel hosting

Hi If I have a product made in python installed on my zope-server, let's say an addressbook application, and I want to be able to change some things in the application for some of the sites on the same zope-server. It could be that some users didn't like some of the properties displayed or something like that. Some of the forms ect. are defined in the /dtml folder under the product. How can I handle that? VHM and proxypass (again)

I have two issues: when inside ZMI, i get something like this:http://mime.hf.ntnu.no:8080/test/wrong_ZMI/ 1: so I guess i have a wrong redirect for my zclasses icons. AND 2: The stylesheet for the ZMI is not loading. What can I do to fix this? I fixed it once by adding a siteroot, but that totally screweed up my webdav connections (duplicating folders and files), and is not an option. Zopelabs.com problems?

Hi , does anyony know what's the problem with the Zope Labs site? (I don't know who is the owner of the domain, that's why I post on this mailinglist.) Yesterday I got a page saying the domainname is expired, today the domain isn't found. Is it a technical or financial problem? .. I would hate to loose this source of information (and scripting examples). Ria Marinussen

Newbie: running Zope for the first time - Linux

I have installed and runned Zope and Plone under Windows. However I'm new to Linux and Zope under Linux. I have done this: 1) installed Linux 8.0 which is working OK. 2) d/l zope-2.6.1-linux2-i386.tgz 3) decompiled and installed zope with directions of the Zope Book and the Zope Bible 4) mv the installation to: /usr/local/Zope if I run the ./start script I get: 1) ZServer HTTP host:AomServidor port:8080 2) ZServer FTP host:AomServidor port:8021 3) ZServer PCGI usr/local/Zope/var/pcgi.soc 4) z2 STARTUP EXEPTION: file /usr/local/Zope/z2.py line 84 - a user was not specified to set uid to; fix this to start as root If I try to access Zope Management console with http://localhost:8080 or http://127.0.0.1:8080 or http://AomServidor:8080 i get: 1) The connection was refused when attempting to connect to http://........:8080 I'm sure it must be some permissions or config problem, but my Linux knowledge doesn't let me fix it. After poking around my system I discovered that my hosts file was modified early this am. The ip/hostname mapping must have been cached in my browser untill I did a refresh. Now to find out why the host file changed...
