Hi, I have a cgi script to uploading files to a file system I am trying to test. I have posted questions about localfs and extfile that seem to fit my needs but I have not found a solution that a user can run the product from ex. index_html. I can only run the product through the management interface. I am trying to avoid setting up user accounts. I can only found cgi information in the online help and the install notes which are not much help. And of course, I am having problems getting it to work. I was just trying to find another way to solve my problem. I am still have allot to learn with Zope/Python and how the products interact and my company is too cheap to send me to training. I am starting to understand most of the answers sent back to me but sometimes I don't if for example the "objectManager" is a dtml, python issue, or both. I know most of this part of message has nothing to do with the original question but I guess I needed to vent and I feel better. Looking at the Pluggable Brains source, it looks like it still depends on traditional Python modules. Since it really just needs a class, it shouldn't be hard to patch App.Extensions (and maybe Shared.DC.ZRDB.DA) to work with ZClasses, though I don't really know anything about how ZClasses implemented, as I don't use 'em. If you can't do it, maybe a collector issue will get some action in time. The workaround is to make a regular module that inherits your ZClass somehow. Again, can't say how. --jcc

var/Data.fs: any way to regenerate from scratch?

We had a particularly impressive server crash a couple of weeks back, where our RAID controller blew up ... the result was some pretty impressive data corruption ... since the crash, we've been having a problem with Zope 2.5.1, particularly the ability to manage the site. Now, Zope is a new one for me, and really have no idea of what the Data.fs is even used for ... is it something that I can just delete and Zope will just start building it from scratch? Or is it something that I can regenerate based on information from the file system? I found the following link: http://www.zope.org/Members/itamar/CorruptedZODB And tried it, but it made no difference ... from what I read in the URL, it sounds like I'm basically removing transactions, one at a time, from Data.fs ... what does that affect (ie. what am I losing for each transaction I remove)? how far back can/should I remove? Connection Refference

I am creating a product which has classes that override the Folder class so that my class controls access to some folders that it creates. From within the Folder class, specificially when the _setOb, _getOb and _delOb methods are called, is there a way to get access to the connection object/reference to the user that is making changes to the folders?
