Hi Can I have any control over how ZPT formats the html it produces? Specifically, source like this: <p><img tal:attributes="src here/pic/absolute_url" title="a piccie" width="24" height="45" border="2" vspace="2" /></p> ends up like this (one line): <p><img title="a piccie" width="24" height="45" border="2" vspace="2" src="http://localhost:8080/temp_folder/pic"></p> and sometimes, source like this: <img tal:attributes="src here/pic/absolute_url" width="10" height="12" /> renders like this: <img src="http://site.com/pic" width="10" height="12" > Any pointers, please? Content delivery without Zope

Hello, I would like to export a site from Zope to a Web server where Zope is not installed. In this model, Zope is used for the... - creation - management - publishing ... of the content, while the delivery is performed by IIS or Apache. Download issue

Hi!, I am new to Zope. I tried downloading the latest stable release of Zope for windows and followed the instructions. But nothing seems to happen when I click the download link (the .exe file) Any suggestions? Thanks... Roy.

modifying a url's query string

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a good way to modify the query string of a get request to change a single variable. For example, let's say my dtml method is accessed like this: http://myzope/MyFolder/method?var1=foo&var2=bar now I want one of the links on the page to load the same page, only with a different value for var2. I could use something like <dtml-var absolute_url>?var1=&dtml-var1;&var2=newvalue but that seems cumbersome the longer the list of variables gets. My first thought is to find some way to get the query string and make a function that will convert it to and from a dictionary, allowing me to change specific keys for new urls like full_url_with_query({'var1':'newvalue'}) but it seems that the only source of variable info is the (quite large) REQUEST object. Is there any way to pull only the query string variables out of the request, or even better, a function that does what my imaginary "full_url_with_query" function wants to do? If the online documentation is not quite enough I would recommend the Zope Bible. The chapters on building zope products are very good. I have just finished creating the AddressBook example in the book but instead of using DTML I used ZPT. I also incorporated a style sheet. It was an interesting exercise. Unfortunately I could not get the security model explained in the book to work right. This is my first attempt at creating a product and if anyone would care to look over this code and give any feedback I would be greatful. ZPatterns for dummies?

Hi, I've read the ad hoc chapters in the "Zope Web Application Development and Content Management" book, but I still don't understand what ZPatterns are used for. Could someone explain its goal in simple-to-understand terms so I get a better handle? :-) Thx Fred.
