Is that your intention? Anyway, lynx does not support IFrames, does it? So supporting lynx would rule out any frame-based apporaches. I'm only a newbie, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong here. I had the same problem formatting dates retrieved from an Interbase database, and ended up writing a python script (which I don't have to hand, sorry), which took in the retrieved date, convert it to a string, split the string into year, month, day, and then returned a string version of the date in the format I wanted. Something like: myDate=str(aDate) # Can't remember if the above was necessary, but if in doubt... year,month,day=myDate.split('/') dateString=month+'/'+day+'/'+year return dateString You then, instead of <dtml-var invc_date fmt="%m/%d/%y"> place <dtml-var "convertDate(invc_date)"> (This can be done better than this, but I am only a newbie, and it is off the top of my head, and all of my notes are in work!). The problem that will happen when attempting to hook an XBOX or any other computer for that matter to the TV is that unless the TV is Digital or sufficiently large (over 32") text will be nearly unreadable and the highest resolution you are likely to get is 800x600. I think that there's a whole host of other options for low profile PC's. Check out a site like linux-hacker.net. They talk about a bunch of lowcost easily modifiable (and some not so easily) computers that might meet your needs. There are also a bunch of all-in-one (some flatscreen) units like the gateway profile, the old Compaq 3060 was nice and could be modified to hold newer equipment but it's next to impossible to come by. Some of these can be found on e-bay and other sites for relatively cheap and they're easily portable. Also their are the new shuttle systems out that are about the size or a shoe box (sans monitor). DBTab product questions

Hi, I've just tried to install and setup the DBTab product on my existing Zope-2.6.1 server ; my goal is to be able to split my Zope database into several parts, to be able to manage them more easilly (for backups,...). So I'd like to have three FileStorage databases, called : - Users, to store my users properties (mount point: /intraforet/users) - Catalog, to store my catalog (mount point: /intraforet/if_catalog) - Main, to store all the other objects (mount point: /). "/intraforet" is a folder used as a VirtualSiteRoot for my site ; you'll find my corresponding dbtab.conf file joined to this mail. My problem is that the corresponding storages are created at startup, but there's never any object which is stored into it ; I've tried to delete and recreate my mount points, without any result. So here are my questions : - did I miss anything ? - can I setup DBTab for an already existing Zope site ? - can I use DBTab to store specific classes, like a whole ZCatalog ? - does the use of DBTab require any specific attention while writing Python products ? POSKeyError II: Dead By Dawn

They're baaaaaaack.... after a recent thread on Zope "Goblins" I decided to try the fstest.py script and see what it had to tell me. Sadly it found errors in my Data.fs on our development server. Lots of work has been done in that server recently; worried about losing data, I copied the Data.fs (plain old unix cp command) and ran fsrecover.py on the copy to see what it finds. I tee'd the output of fsrecover.py (stdout & stderr) to a file and I'm glad I did, because I've never seen anything this bad. Grepping through the fsrecover output reveals: 12527 total occurrences of "Error" 11397 "bad transaction length" errors 719 "invalid transaction length" errors 193 "POSKeyError" 75 *unique* POSKeyErrors (filtered through uniq) (so it's not just one bad oid) Ow. Ow. Ow. This is very odd considering that we have not noticed any problems at all from this zope installation! Oh yeah - specs: Zope 2.5.1 Python 2.1.3 built from source w/ largefile support ZEO RedHat Linux 2.4.7-10 SMP ZODB is over 2 GB, but the large size is not the problem - it was up to 2.5 at one point, and we haven't changed Python or the kernel since then, so it should be OK. (double-checking ... yes, test_largefile.py runs fine.) The really fun thing about POSKeyErrors in particular is that I know of no way to find out what zope id the broken oid once belonged to. Is there any way? Tried starting up with the recovered Data.fs and discovered that it seems "fine" except that most of our recent work is gone. :( I tried mounting a copy of the backup with another Zope instance, exporting the recent stuff, and importing it into the zope running the "repaired" Data.fs, but every time I tried to do that I got POSKeyErrors. (!) The repaired Data.fs passes fstest.py with no errors, so I think somehow the exports from the backup bring the POSKeyErrors with them. It's like a virus!!! (well, not really. the import just fails... the repaired Data.fs still passes fstest.py.) At this point I think I'm going to go back to the backup, errors and all... it may have tons of errors in it, but it has all of our work and seems to behave OK. :-\ Hmmmmm, I notice DirectoryStorage is now at 1.0.0. Hello there! I have a Zope251 installation and learning to do some development. I want to write a simple form for managing users (add, edit & delete). There is error return code.
