Zope 2.6 and TimetableColspan

Hi, I am trying to use TimetableColspan 0.4 and Schedule 0.4 with Zope 2.6.1. I am getting an error: AttributeError: timetable when I try to run the simple demo in the README for TimetableColspan. This has been discussed before in October 2002 but no resolution has been posted so I hope someone will be able to provide some insight. MORE INFO: Okay we've dug a little deeper into it and are even more confused. We have three frames TOOLBAR, NAVBAR, WORKSPACE. The content served from these frames comes off of a java appserver (servlets). When we click on a button in the toolbar it calls the workspace with a URL to a "controller" servlet, which parses the request and serves up/redirects to the appropriate page. In this instance we are making a request for a ZOPE document. The servlet is doing a redirect, we are getting a 302 temporarily moved and then recieving the ZOPE content. The problem at this point is that all of the links within that page are now broken with incorrect host. Looking at some of the header information inside ZOPE I see that a normal (directly to ZOPE) request has headers something like URL0 http://host:8300/Site/index_html URL1 http://host:8300/Site URL2 http://host:8300 BASE0 http://host:8300 BASE1 http://host:8300 BASE2 http://host:8300/Site BASE3 http://host:8300/Site/index_html SERVER_PORT '8300' PATH_TRANSLATED '/Site/index_html' SERVER_NAME 'host' HTTP_USER_AGENT 'Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 4.0)' PATH_INFO '/Site/index_html' HTTP_HOST 'host:8300' REQUEST_METHOD 'GET' and that's fine as it should be on a direct request. But on the redirect the information looks like this: URL0 http://host:8200/Site/index_html URL1 http://host:8200/Site URL2 http://host:8200 BASE0 http://host:8200 BASE1 http://host:8200 BASE2 http://host:8200/Site BASE3 http://host:8200/Site/index_html SERVER_PORT '8300' PATH_TRANSLATED '/Site/index_html' SERVER_NAME 'host' HTTP_USER_AGENT 'Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 4.0)' PATH_INFO '/Site/index_html' HTTP_HOST 'host:8200' REQUEST_METHOD 'GET' In that the SERVER_PORT and SERVER_NAME are correct matching the ZOPE server instance. The HTTP_HOST, URLs, and BASEs are incorrect though showing the requesting app servers port number. Stupid Zope question for the week!

Hello everyone, I'm about to take on a contract that will have me flying out from home every Monday morning and flying back every Friday night. I'll be staying in THE most boring city in the world, in a poky hotel room with absolutely nothing to do at night at all, for months on end. Sounds good, doesn't it? I'd like to have some sort of computer in my room while I'm away, so I can do all the usual stuff (read email, surf net, IM, and work on my part-time Zope project). Initially, I considered the obvious two options: - laptop. My two laptops are both several years old, and are a LONG way from being able to run XP or a relatively modern Linux. Both were bought when I was doing a lot of travelling; when I'm at home, they sit plugged into the wall and unused for months at a time. As a result, both have dead batteries, so are not useful away from a wall socket. I don't really feel like dropping a big pile of loot for yet another laptop that I probably won't use after the end of this contract, and which can't be upgraded. Furthermore, I want to run Linux, and generally speaking Linux on a laptop still has lots of compromises - desktop PC in the hotel room. This is an option, but it'll take up lots of space and will be painful moving it into storage every weekend when I fly home. Still, probably a more attractive option than a laptop. On the home front, I'll cop some flak for buying "yet another" PC, which is a fair point Then, in a flash of insight/stupidity, another option occurred to me. An X-Box with a mod chip! It'll run Mandrake; it's cheap; it'll be useful when I bring it home for the kids to play games on, and as a MP3/Ogg/PVR player; it's small enough that I'll be able to ask the hotel staff to look after it on weekends; it'll probably plug into the hotel room's TV, so no monitor to contend with; I've already got lots of unused USB bits (keyboard, LAN card, modem, mouse) so connectivity should be OK; it'll play all my Ogg files; it's a superficially silly enough idea to be attractive in its own right... So, to the big question. Has anyone tried running Zope on an X-Box? No? - well that doesn't surprise me... I realise it'll probably run, but what I'm really wondering is whether a 800MHz chip and 128Mb RAM is likely to be enough to get tolerable performance for a single user. I'm using Postgres, which is a bit of a memory hog, but I could probably cut over to MySQL for dev purposes without any real pain. Zope-wise, all I want to do is keep developing my existing project, so this box is never going to have more than one person using it; however, it would be nice to play some Oggs while I'm working... How to fix a ZODB with a timestamp in the future?

Folks - In trying to pack a ZODB (Data.fs), I get the following message: FileStorageError: The database has already been packed to a later time or no changes have been made since the last pack Given this, I try to repair the Data.fs by using the fsrecover.py script in lib/python/ZODB/. In doing this, it fixes the ZODB, but resets the timestamps of objects to a date in the year 2010. Obviously this is not a good thing, so I've returned to using the backed-up version of the ZODB. Is there a way to fix this ZODB so that the mis-timed transaction is removed or changed? Thanks! -Charles
