Hi Jens, Thanks for the quick reply (and the great product!). I was looking more at the GroupUserFolder concept (by ingeniweb) but you are correct in that I was getting confused with "groups" in LDAP as well. For an example: I want to creat a group (GrpA) that can access a particular directory (DirA). So do I set up GrpA with the role of member in DirA and then set up individual(s) (or another group) to act as reviewer, OR can I set up roles within GrpA (member, reviewer, manager etc) that then apply in DirA? Groups and Roles

I understand what roles are but am having trouble working out how to use groups with reference to roles. For example does a group have a role or do people have a role within the group? Or can it be both? I am trying to tie this all in with LDAPUserFolder and the GroupUserFolder but still not "getting it". Any help greatly appreciated. Hi, are all the products releases/upgrades announced on zope-announce ? I'm looking for something like the freshmeat mailing-list. In fact i'm looking for something like the freshmeat site :) I saw very few zope projects on fm and I wonder if I'm looking in the right place to find on-going projects. ANN: reStructuredText backport for Zope 2.6 released

I have just released the backport of reStructuredText for Zope 2.6. This release gives Zope 2.6 full access to the functionality of reST. You can download the packages from http://www.zope.org/Members/ajung/reStructuredText/ Installation: unpackl the archive in the top-level Zope directory. It will monkey-patch Zope to do the integration. There should not be any side-effects Documentation: see doc/RESTRUCTUREDTEXT.txt

CMF and Plone

ZTM import of xtm, AttributeError in App.Product

Hi all, I am diving into ZopeTopicMaps these days and make good progress. I can add TopicMaps and everything by hand to a CMFsite. When importing the xtm file via http://grooveway:9080/openspirit.de/cmftest/System/TopicMap/topicmap_edit_f… i get the following error. Any hints about this module are appreciated. I don't know if you're familiar with ZTM and if you have to know which products are installed, i guess it's not so important for the first diagnosis, but in case it is , just let me know. Newbie Question: Cookie Crumbler and Virtual Hosting

Friends, Can you tell me how to use cookie crumbler in a virtual host? I tried to use cookie crumbler in one of our virtual host. I did these: 1. Let say I put the all documents and files under directory /navs in our Zope server. 2. Then I added virtual host monster in our root 3. In directory /navs I added cookie crumbler 4. I created login_form, logged_in and logged_out documents 5. Then I put these lines in Apache virtual hosts conf : RewriteRule (.*) http://our.zope.server:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.navs or.id/navs/VirtualHostRoot/$1 [L,P] The problem is, when I tried to log in into Zope Management Interface using www.navs.or.id/manage, I had to fill in login_form, after that, it took me to a 'strange' ZMI. Still there were 3 frames: top, right, and left, but all frames contained navs' standard_html_header and not usual ZMI! So, if I want to log into usual ZMI I had to use www.navs.or id/manage?disable_cookie_login__=1 Can somebody tell me how to fix this? Btw, I am using Zope 2.6.0, Cookie Crumbler provided by CMF 1.3 Thanks.

neverending thread: zope ssl apache

Howdy: I am trying to get zope/cmf/plone to run behind apache/ssl. Ultimately, users will login via PAM to the intranet and access the site over https. Got apache and mod_ssl to work. Got apache and zope and rewrite and vhm to work. Can not get the whole shebang together to work happily. Right now i can go to: http://my.site.com and apache forwards the request to: http://my.site.com:8080/myzopesite and everything is good. Can go to: https://my.site.com and brings up the default apache page on port 443. I have tried quite a few differnet versions of this in the httpd.conf. Here is current (all of the SSL stuff is elsewhere in httpd.conf, is this a problem?) <VirtualHost 10.0.0.174> ServerName mems.zyvex.com RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^/(.*) http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/mems.zyvex.com:80/VirtualHostRoo… [P,L] </VirtualHost> I have run out of place to bang my head on, some suggestions would be nice. Propblem with script from Zope book

I'm having problems running this example script from the Zope Book, Advanced Scripting Chapter, p. 183 """ Returns all sub-objects that have a given status property. """ results=[] for object in context.objectValues(): if object.getProperty('status') == status: results.append(object) return results It seems to be starting an endless loop or something, the browser can sit for a half an hour and still not change.
