Hello I didn't find the equivalent commands in python (script) for this two dmtl commands: <dtml-try> ... <dtml-except DatabaseError> <dtml-if "error_type == 'IntegrityError'"> ... </dtml-if> <dtml-else> ... </dtml-try> --- try: ... except DatabaseError: if error_type == 'IntegrityError': ... else: ... doesn't work. Have I to import something to access the variables, or what am I missing? Thanks Dieter

Zope refuses to start with relative EVENT_LOG_FILE

I couldn't find anything about this in the collector, so maybe it's a bug? I just tried to install Zope 2.6.1, but I thought that this time I would be nice and neat and actually put up an event.log (I usually just run my development Zopes to stdout). However, the Zope refused to start. No error messages anywhere, it just logged that it started the threads and then silently died. I traced this back to setting EVENT_LOG_FILE="var/event.log" Setting it to "$cwd/var/event.log" fixed the problem. Now, that's OK in itself, but an error message would have been nice. ;) Bug, or?

I have an index_html (dtmlMethod) which prints the date it was last modified: <dtml-var expr="REQUEST['PUBLISHED'].bobobase_modification_time().strftime('%m/%d/%Y, %H:%M')"> This would work fine if I access the full url of the object: http://www.bobosite.org/index_html But: if i just type http://www.bobosite.org/ It will render the date of the root folders last modification date. Why don't they show the same date? How can I make them do that? class Missing.Missing help

Hello All, I have a ZSQL method executing a simple 'select' statement against a MS SQL Server. Some of the rows/columns have missing values. On looking at the variable 'type', I get - <extension class Missing.Missing at 013130E0> How do I test if the return value is a NULL value? e.g., as in if variable is None: do something... If I assign this value to a variable in a dictionary, I get - {'variable':Missing.Value} Help much appreciated. Thx. Regards, Samir

Natting to public IP not working

Dear List, I'm accessing Zope server with local IP where it is working fine. When natting my local IP to Public IP it is not navigating (as web pages) but it is working fine if you go from zope management folder. eg: I'm accessing Zope server (Management) at 192.168.1.179:8080. where I have /demo/LA folder. I want to access this folder directly as a web page. It is working fine by accessing http://192.168.1.179:8080/demo/LA but after natting this IP address with the public IP say, http://202.65.65.1:8080/demo/LA it is not working but it is accessible through http://202.65.65.1:8080/. how can my product get the username of the user accessing it? CatalogQuery newbie question

This must be a newbie question: I installed ZCatalogQuery to search a Catalog for a certain word in title OR PrincipiaSearchSource. The syntax is told to be: Catalog(title=’spam’, PrincipiaSearchSource=’spam’) I don't know how the word 'spam' in this case is replaced by the text, entered in a search form. Can anybody provide me a working example of such a query in DTML?

PABlog error message

I installed PABlog on Zope 2.6.1 with CMF 1.3 All the installation steps are done. Now, if I click on the link "Add Comment", I receive this error message: Error Type KeyError Error Value isAnon it doesn't matter if I am logged in or not. The same message appears.
