Hi there, I want to use Page Templates to create an input form with utf-8 values. Im using tal:attributes statement, but all utf-chars are escaped with HTML-entities. I found the following email on list. The last statement is probably the reason for my problem. It should be possible to use page templates with utf-chars to create text input fields with utf-8 chars. The workaround would be to use textareas or even worse javascript to fill in the values. Problem with has_permission

Hello If have a simple script (pyhton) called "test.py". I'd like to test the permission with "has_permission". The print out is the following: Anonymous User Permission on test.py not ok But this is obviously wrong, because I can execute the script. This is the code: <cut> from AccessControl import getSecurityManager obj = 'test.py' user = getSecurityManager().getUser() print user if user.has_permission('View', obj): print 'Permission on '+obj+' ok' else: print 'Permission on '+obj+' not ok' return printed </cut> What I'm doing wrong? CMFWeblog character encoding

Can someone please point me into the right direction about german umlauts in CMFWeblog? Plone displays umlauts correct, but CMFWeblog inside of Plone doesn't out-of-the-box. I compared the headers of Plone and the blogger_list from CMFWeblog but can't find the difference that matters. TIA Stephan

newbie: Question on Folder Workflow

Question: Within 'folder_workflow', is it possible to change the initial state of 'visible'? If it is possible, how can set the initial state of a document (or any other objects) to a state of 'hide' instead of 'show' ? I am stuck on how to change the initial state of an object in the 'visible' state. In other words, I do not want any content to be accessible by URL or search unless it has been approved to be 'published'. Feedback is much appreciated. Paul.

One approach I have - if repr(variable) == 'Missing.Value': do something... Attribute Error: has_key

Quick question, I built a ZClass that should create a Content Folder object, but when I try to add one it gives me this error: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: has_key I looked for this attribute in all of the DTML methods, python scripts, etc. that are involved in creating the Content Folder and couldn't find it anywhere. undoing

again Zope and RedHat 9 threading problem

Hi, I have problems - *which freaks me out* - to start more than one Zope thread on RedHat 9.0. What I tried: a) upgraded kernel to 2.4.20-13.9 b) upgraded glibc,glibc-common,glibc-devel to 2.3.2-27.9 c) tried "export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1" d) started z2.py as root or as unpriviligted user I use RedHat's python2.2.2 and Zope-2.6.2b1 from source. The postings "Zope and RedHat 9" http://www.dzug.org/mailinglisten/zope-org-zope/archive/2003/2003-04/105169… didn't help. Any other ideas? Saluti, Marcus
