LDAPUserFolder and local roles throught LDAPUserSatellite

Hi, I use LDAPUserFolder on my Zope (2.6.1) site. I have a context where I give local roles to users, and I have to know if a local role is given to a user (without inheritance, so I just use the 'get_local_roles_for_userid' function). OK for this ! My problem is that I also want to be able to use LDAPUserSatellite to grant a local role to a group of LDAP users. Granting the role is OK in terms of Zope permissions, but is there any way to know if a user has a local role on an object, given throught this mapping (and only throught this mapping) ?? Unfortunately, there is no python-ldap / openldap win32 binary for the latest LDAPUserFolder. You have to use an older version of the LDAPUserfolder together with the correct win32 binaries. There is an howto on zope.org. If anybody has a compiled version of openldap / python-ldap I would be happy to get my hands on it ... So we had a couple of people who'd been working on zope here leave, and their user objects got deleted. Stuff starts breaking _everywhere_, because the permissions of a zope object are the intersection of the permissions of the owner and the permissions of the user -- no owner means an intersection with the null set. Oops. The following external method and python script will help you if something similar ever happens to you. This Python Script will find objects owned (explicitly) by non-existent users and set the ownership to the person running the script. ---------------8<------------------------8<------------------- # Change these two. ZPT Equivalent for SecurityGetUser

Hi, I'm using CookieCrumbler for http-cookie-auth and using ZPT. Therefore I tried to convert the standard DTML-Methods that a CookieCrumbler creates into ZPT and the login_form and logged_in Methods were relatively easy. But I cannot get the logged_out to work. I do net get logged out, even not with calling manage_zmi_logout() (event thoug I only logged in using HTTP-Cookie-Auth) Heres the code for logged_out as DTML-Method, which works: <dtml-if expr="_.SecurityGetUser().getUserName() == 'Anonymous User'"> <h3>Logged out</h3> <p>Come again soon!</p> <dtml-else> You are logged in using HTTP authentication. Hi all, Could someone please help me out here. I am trying to use manage_clone to clone python scripts and Page Templates into a newly added folder into the Zope Directory Structure everytime I add a folder into the Zope Directory Structure If not manage_clone what other function can i use to dynamically add Python Scripts and Page Templtes to my newly created folder , like creating a microsite for registered members. For every registered member I want to create a microsite with his own set of file in it. But I am not being able to do it Using manage_clone in a Python file and adding it as an external method does not work as it is asking the user to Login to the ZMI.Then the whole point of my site is gone. I wanted to add a new folder for a registered memebr when he registers and create a minumum number of files in the folder which will give him functionality. This is excactly similar to what Zope does when adding a Folder Object.You can also dynamically add an index_html Page into it. Exactly simliar is my need..to add a folder for a new user and then add 2 python scripts and two page templates into the newly added folder. New to Zope needs some help

I am VERY new with Zope and am trying to understand how it all works.
