repeat variable problem

Hello, I'm alternating colors in rows of a table using repeat/msg/even. How come this works <tr tal:repeat="msg msg_list" tal:attributes="bgcolor python:test(path('repeat/msg/even'), here.tablecolor4, here.tablecolor3)"> and this one does not?? <tr tal:repeat="msg msg_list" tal:attributes="bgcolor python:test(repeat['msg'].even, here.tablecolor4, here.tablecolor3)"> This one always give the same color. hello Sir, We are learning Zope right now and have just 2 Q: Q1. How can I implement a "ChangeMyOwnPassword page", exactly like when I login to my personalization page at http://www.zope.org/Members/harrisho/update_html. so each user can maintain his password. Q2. "forgot password" How could we email back the password to user given his email is valid in Zope? Any hints would be very much appreciated. *N.B. I did: > <td tal:content="item/title | default">No Title</td> > > But I got the same results when doing: > <td tal:content="item/title">No Title</td> Correct me if I'm wrong, but after thinking about it, I deducted that the "or" in a tales-statement: <td tal:content="item/title | default">No Title</td> doesn't work like the "or" of python: <td tal:content="python: item.title or default"> because for python the empty string is false while the tales-statement returns true if the variable exist without caring about its value. I think this should be fixed because the second solution adds unnecesary complexity to the tal-expression and I also think that it's an inconsistency that one works and the other don't.

PEP 6: "In general, only the N-1 release will be under active maintenance at any time." Python 2.3 is scheduled for early July (PEP 283i and dev-pyBthon mailings). Here's a tentative release schedule that follows the above guidelines: alpha 1 -- December 31, 2002 alpha 2 -- February 19, 2003 beta 1 -- April 25, 2003 beta 2 -- late May rc 1 -- late June final -- early July Unless I am mistaken, Zope 2.5.1, 2.6.0, 2.6.1 all *require* Python 2.1.3 and will not work with Python 2.2 and later. Do we have a problem?

Returning an unrendered DTML Document object to a ZPT

Hi, I am passing an unrendered DTML document object to a Zope Page Template, as the first item of the list referenced by the 'args' key of the options namespace. I subsequently want to reference the attributes of this object. I have tried: <div tal:define="python:nocall(options['args'][0])"></div> but this gives a split error, the relevant portion of the traceback being: Module Products.PageTemplates.ZRPythonExpr, line 48, in __call__ __traceback_info__: nocall(options['args'][0]) Module Python expression "nocall(options['args'][0])", line 2, in f Module Products.PageTemplates.PythonExpr, line 81, in __call__ Module Products.PageTemplates.Expressions, line 158, in __init__ AttributeError: split Doing: <div tal:define="nocall: options/args"></div> correctly returns the 'args' list, with the object as the first item, but I can't seem to find the syntax to then reference this first item, without using a tal:repeat statement. Any help would be much appreciated. Dominic

It needs transparent folder product installed (sorry) and has about 10k (zip). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Automated DHTML menu builder for Zope --------------------------------------------------------------------- This was done with big help of these softwares: * ZHierMenus python sctipts by Ioan (www.zope.org product, new javascripts need to pay) * HV Menu- by Ger Versluis (www.burmees.nl , www.dynamicdrive.com) Zope menu integration -------- 1. put following files to your virtual "/" folder or Zope root: File (mime text/javascript): hv_menu_var.js hv_menu_com.js DTML Method: hv_menu_tre.js 2. Copy file hv_menu.py to your Zope Extensions folder (at your local filesystem /var/zope/Extensions, not in zopedb) 3. Add External Method: id: hv_menu ModuleName: hv_menu FunctionName: hierMenus 4. Add _this_ file that you read just now to your virtual "/" folder or Zope root, call it as "hv_menu_GO" (DTML Method type) Using ------- * Write <dtml-var hv_menu_GO> at your DTML method - it will show you only the same and child levels * place DTML Document hv_menu_tre.js at your virtual server root - Write <dtml-var hv_menu_GO> at your DTML method - and this will show you full site structure at any page License ------- Please read license for Zhiermenu and hvmenu.
