Greetings, I wrote yesterday asking how to display a newly created, catalogued object (DocumentFile of DocumentLibrary) after calling <dtml-call expr="addDocumentFile(REQUEST=REQUEST)"> without using a redirect (typically to URL1). This works ('topic' is a property which has been set to the object id): <dtml-in documents> <dtml-if "topic==id"> <dtml-with "Documents.getObject(data_record_id_)"> <dtml-var data> </dtml-with> </dtml-if> </dtml-in> I am seeing some server errors (code 500). And I am wishing for a more elegant solution to reference the newly created object. Any suggestions? Thanks! Ken

Hello, my current installation is 2.5.1 and I would like to update to 2.6.2. There is no update distribution. Obviously I missed something in the archives. Could someone please point me in the right direction? TIA Ulrich

LDAPUserFolder - Too many results for this query...

Hi, I would like to go through all LDAP users to register them into my Plone site (I need to use localroles and it's possible only after a Plone registration...) So, I'm writing a python script (may be I have to write an external method) which use the LDAPUserFolder::getUserNames API, and I've got the error message below: getUserNames: Cannot find any users (Too many results for this query) Is there a solution to grow the size of result accepted by python-ldap ? extract from the help we received from Sergey Konozenko ... You've got to edit the source of the Photo product. Find the "command" string and modify it to point to your "convert" correctly ... ... In the middle of the Photo.py, inside the _resize method, there is an invocation of the popen2 function. Just edit the command string of it - it contains a reference to convert, but probably it has a wrong path ... Sounds like the problem is with the installation of ZPatterns... it looks like you are trying to run this 2 year old product with the latest Zope. Command line zope ?

Greetings I am a Zope newbie but have been using python for a little while. I am a member of the team responsible for rebuilding my departments webiste. I have suggested that we create a portal site and use a CMS and other some-such. In order to do this I have also suggetsted that we use zope. There is however one outstanding issue, -command line access. I live in *nix land and often times people do not have access to (or want to use) graphical interfaces. From what I have seen of zope already everything is done through the browser. So these are my questiions: Does zope have any kind of back door so that pages can be edited with vi or emacs? Is there command line access to the zope server database? Has any one used such tools or created them if they do not already exist? Thanks very much for your comments -matthew

Name Error / Global name not defined

Hi, Im getting an error in a DTML document while trying to access an array I declared in a python script which I subsequently returned. The python script looks like: # Creates a pending array pendingArray = ['test'] return pendingArray and is called by this line in the DTML document. <dtml-call expr="createPendingArray()"> The line that is causing the error to be thrown is: <dtml-call expr="addEntryPendingArray(pendingArray,Word)"> which causes the following error: Error Type: NameError Error Value: global name 'pendingArray' is not defined Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.. Dieter, thank you for responding. I made several attempts based on my understanding of your answer and I still am not getting it right.
