Can anyone tell me if the following is possible and if so steer me in the right direction. I want the user to be able to upload an xml document which is then formatted in a dtml method. From this page I then want to be able to insert the data into a Postgres database by firing off a zsql method. regards garry

Hi All, This morning I tried to go to the Root Folder on mi ZMI and I found the error showed below. I don't know what's the TemplateDict class but the fact is that I can't export any of my sites. DBTAB mounting ZCLASS as container

Hi, is there a way to mount a Database with a ZClass as the container object ? In theory there is the parameter "container_class" in dbtab.conf to specify which class will taken. But as I can see it's only accepting PythonClasses - not ZClasses. Any hints?? Harald

Need Some Serious Assistance

I have been working on a project for a band's fan club for almost two months now and have only a couple things left to do. The most important one is a multi-page form that submits it's data into a database and performs validation on various fields. Formulator is not an option with this project (believe me I've looked into it) and I need someone to give me a hand getting this working as I'm not a python programmer. I had someone who was supposed to be doing this portion and he quit on me. I am on IRC in the #zope channel under the nick kittonian. If anyone has some time to give me a hand here I would truly appreciate it. All the forms are designed and docs are written on exactly what needs to be done. I just need someone to help me make it all work. Thanks. kittonian

sort in python script dynamically?

Dear all, I have python script that does for i in self.objectItems('Folder') I want to sort by value of i[0] before "i" is taken to FOR. So it is possible to do something like for i in self.objectItems('Folder').sort(i[0]) ??? I want to sort by id value, which is in thos case value of i[0] Under Zope DTML it is very easy: <dtml-in "objectItems('Folder')" sort=id> But under python? Many thanks, J. Lukesh

context / addProduct question

I have the following file layout in my site (each of the following is a folder): Folder1 Folder2 Sub-folder1 Sub-folder2 scripts Within the folder "scripts" I have a python script (myAddFolder) with the following code: context.manage_addProduct['OFSP'].manage_addFolder(sub_id, sub_title) I am calling that script from a form. If I call it from a page within Sub-folder1, for example, the action would be "scripts/myAddFolder". I would like it to then add a folder inside Sub-folder1. I understand why it will actually add it within the "scripts" folder, but I don't know how to get around this. I apologize if I could have found this somewhere else, but I didn't have any luck - probably because I don't really know what I should have been searching for. Thank you in advance for your help.

It'd be better if you had provided us with some more information about why/how it didn't work, like how you configured it and what error messages you saw. But I suspect what is the problem in your case. The handling of "Expires:" headers in ASP404 is broken. Just comment out (put a single quote before) the lines that look like if lhName = "expires" then ' ditto for Expires: Response.ExpiresAbsolute = hValue bValidHeader = false end if It should work after that. Hi, I think I maybe have a related problem (see SSL annoyance). Do you ever get some hangup behaviour? I mean, when you try to modify a big page or to upload a relatively big file does your browser hang (the progress bar still moves but nothing seems to happen)? I've tried with different version of Zope (2.6.x until 2.7.0b4) and M2crypto (0.12, with Windows python 2.1 __m2crypto lib recompiled because it was not working on my PCs) both under Windows and Linux Now I can tell that with Zope 2.7.0b4 this behaviour is still present with only Internet Explorer while, using Mozilla/Netscape everything works just fine. I know this doesn't solve the problem but it could be useful to me to know whether it is a common problem or not. Thanks, Mario

[HELP] How to get the content of a REQUEST

Hello, There is something (maybe simple) that i don't manage do to. I want to get the content of a REQUEST from a python script. In fact, there is another application (adobe PDF form) that calls my zope site via a POST method REQUEST and give me the file in-line in the request. I want to get the content of this file in order to generate a file object stored in my ZoDB. Is there something like : REQUEST.getContent() REQUEST.read() Help needed.
