importing files into Zope?

Hi there, I have a problem with importing files into Zope and maybe you can help? I have installed Zope on an Apache server on my Windows machine at home. Everything is working fine, but when I try to import an .zexp file (which I exported from Zope at work) it does show the folder with the correct name but when I click on that folder, I get the following error message: ------------------- Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: __getitem__ Troubleshooting Suggestions The URL may be incorrect. The parameters passed to this resource may be incorrect. A resource that this resource relies on may be encountering an error. For more detailed information about the error, please refer to the HTML source for this page. If the error persists please contact the site maintainer. Thank you for your patience. --------------------- There are some subfolders in that folder. I can click on the "+" next to the folder and it will show the tree with the subfolders but I can't open any of the folders. I guess that the Zope version at work is older than the one I have on my home computer. Could that be a problem? Thanks for your help.

Hi Jim, Perhaps the solution to your problem: Delete the "Temporary Internet Files" in Internet Explorer and try again. I had similar problems with viewing the source of webpages. Deleting the cache was a solution on the microsoft website and it worked for my problem. It seems an IE bug that exposes itself when the cache limit is (almost) reached. FieldedTextIndex weighting implemented

I have an initial implementation of the per-field weighting checked into cvs. I haven't released 0.2 yet, but I expect to sometime in the next week or so. The new feature is unit-tested and documented in the README, so feel free to check it out in the mean time. You can download it directly from CVS at: http://cvs.zope.org/Products/FieldedTextIndex/ There is a link to generate a tarball at the bottom, or you can check in out using anonymous cvs if you want to track changes. Zope 2.6.3 and min (...)

I see that "min" and others have been removed from "secure" python (TTW scripts, dtml...). Is this a bug or a VERY BAD idea ? x = _.min([1,2,3,4]) return x Runs perfectly with Zope 2.6.2. but raises this with Zope 2.6.3... Undo machinery and OOBtrees

Hello, I hav a python product that I'm working on which contains a content class which uses OOBtrees and OOSets internally for storing structured data. The problem is that changes to this object which involve those structures do not seem to be undoable (i.e. no transaction shows up in the manage_undo or manage_change_history_page of the instance or its parent). I've tried explicity using get_transaction() to commit and annotate the transaction, and the note seems to end up in the Data.fs, but the transaction still does not appear. Are those datatypes not subject to transactions in the usual manner? Is there a way around this? Should I just use dictionaries and _p_changed if I want to track revisions? I have a system which uses XMLRPC to execute zope methods remotely for administrative purposes. I shamelessly borrowed the xmlrpcBasicAuth code (thanks Amos and Chris) used by ZSyncer to provide a xmlrpc server proxy with BasicAuthTransport. To execute a method remotely, I first create a server server = Server( url, username='...', password='...') where url references the object upon which the method is to be applied or the object which contains the object to be executed. To execute a method with id of foo, on then executes getattr( server, 'foo')( [params] ) where params is a dictionary containing the name/value pairs needed by the method. This works for DTML methods, but fails for Python Scripts with diagnostics related to mismatched counts of parameters. For the moment, I've worked around the problem with a DTML method wrapper for my python script, but thats ugly! What's the right Python Script interface to be called by XMLRPC?
