which zope version? why two?

Hello, I'm a newbie to Zope, and am confused why the release of two versions. 2.6.4, 2.7.0 I installed the 2.7, but cannot get the MySQLdb modules to work in this. They work fine in 2.6.4, but the CPS portal does not wotk. Everything works fine in the 2.6.3 version. Thanks for the help. Regards, Frank Rocco farocco(a)hotmail.com

Hi, i would like to know if i can upgrade zope version (linux) 2.5.1 to 2.7.0. Is it possible or i must uninstall old version and install the new version? It is very important for my make an upgrade and not new installation. Thank you, Simone.

Hi, just in time with the release of Zope 2.7 I've released AbracadabraObject 2.0.1. What is AbracadabraObject? The "Abracadabra Object"-Product allows you to add pre-configured ZOPE-objects to your folders through the Zope-Management-Interface with only one click and run scripts on them. This is extremely useful if you use the Zope-Management-Interface as a content-management-system or to build a graphical user interface (GUI) for developing / prototyping database applications with Zope. AbracadabraObject also creates configurable auto_ids for objects and has a nice script-wrapper (manage_addAObject(...)) which shortens many development tasks. MySQL Temporary Tables & Z SQL Queries

I have a query much like: CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE temp SELECT * FROM FOO, FOO2 ... delimiter ... SELECT * FROM BAR LEFT JOIN temp The problem is that because Zope doesn't close the connection, the temporary table is left around. If I drop the temporary table at the end of the query, I get no query results from Zope. If I don't, it complains on subsequent queries that the temp table exists already.
