Does anyone know of a good project management tool for zope/plone? I had a look for some on zope.org but the things I have found are 2-3 Years old and don't work well with zope 2.6.2. -tim zegir

Zope 2.6.3 This object is broken because the ZGDChart product that created it is no longer installed or is installed incorrectly. Please contact the product maintainer for assistance. Note that the data associated with this product has not been lost, and will be accessible again if the product is reinstalled. Zope 2.7.0. with MySQL and windows

Hi, I have installed Zope 2.7.0 and want to use a MySQL-database. With Zope 2.6 and python 2.1.3 this was possible with MySQL-python 0.9.0 and a precompiled _mysql.dll which I found on the internet. Zope 2.7.0 uses python 2.3.3, so I need Mysql-python 0.9.3 from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mysql-python/. Too bad I could not find a compiled _mysql.dll and without it, it won't run. Who can mail me a compiled _mysql.dll 0.9.3 for windows? Thanx, Marc

running 2.7 w/out daemon manager

hi I'm looking for a fairly uncomplicated way to run zope 2.7 without the daemon manager process (as i want to run it under daemontools). ZGDCart problem

I just installed the product ZGDChart-0.6.5.tar.gz. It unpacks and installs, but when I try to make an instance it dies with the diagnostic ----------- TypeError Exception Value unbound method __init__() must be called with instance as first argument Traceback (innermost last): * Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 98, in publish * Module ZPublisher.mapply, line 88, in mapply * Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 39, in call_object * Module Products.ZGDChart.ZGDChart, line 86, in manage_addZGDChart * Module Products.ZGDChart.ZGDChart, line 200, in __init__ TypeError: unbound method __init__() must be called with instance as first argument ---------- under Zope 2.6.2b3 with Python 2.1.3. The error seems to be here: def __init__(self, id='ZGDChart', title='ZGDChart', height=250, width=250, SQL=None, chart_type='Bar_3D', option=['xaxis', 'yaxis', 'grid', 'border']): GDChart.GDChart.__init__(self, id=id, title=title, height=height, width=width, SQL=SQL, chart_type=chart_type, option=option) The value of self passed in to GDChart.GDChart.__init__ is not a ZGDChart instance as I would have expected, but a string. Any suggestions? fixes?

MIME type assignment to a method

I have a product some of whose methods are (or need to be) directly exposed as A-refs. How can I set the correct MIME type for them? Sorting a list of nested lists

Hello. Does anyone know what happens when you apply the list sort operation to a list that contains lists? In this case, what does Python use as the sort criteria? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. - Asad

Accessing Basic Zope Objects

Hi All, I am having trouble accessing Zope Objects (importing them into my Python scripts). I am setting the PYTHONPATH INSTANCE_HOME environment variables in my startup scripts. While I can load these modules into Python at the command line I can't import them through Zope. Questions: How and where do you set Zope/Python environment variables so they can be able to find the Zope APIs? If I have other versions of Python (not included with Zope) running on the system can this cause the interpreter to become confused? Thanks in advance.
