Hi, I have this class (with subclasses) in an external product: class Elem_base_item(ObjectManager,Implicit,Persistent,SimpleItem.SimpleItem): "Eba item" meta_type="eba_item" def __init__(self,id,kop,tekst,volgorde,auteur,status,slot,type, kopstijl,tekststijl,auto_br,datum): self.id=id self.kop=kop etc.... The whole thing works great but I need to possibility to add images to the Elem_base_item class. I came up with this: def addImg(self,f_file,REQUEST=None): "voegt een afbeelding toe" self.manage_addImage('afbeelding',title='afbeelding',file=f_file) self._p_changed = 1 This works in one respect: that it adds an object to Elem_base_item class. But it won't render it as an image. I get an broken image in the browser while using this dtml: <dtml-if afbeelding> <dtml-var afbeelding> </dtml-if> Clearly I'm missing something. Can someone enlighten me? Henny I came up with this:

I read about a LocalFS patch by SmileyChris on Zope.org. Unfortunately I got a AttributeError when I tried to contact the author of this patch. I had to do some patches too to get it working with Zope2.7.0 and with my product PloneLocalFS. Nearly all changes from SmileyChris are applyed to my version. Zope 2.6.4: can't iterate through protected objects

Unfortunately it doesn't support the situation where I want to give special handling to an object for which the (perhaps not-yet -authenticated) user doesn't have sufficient permissions for the object. Here's some handling for that. for item in container.objectItems(): id = item[0] try: object = item[1] except: object = None Hmmm...it would be nice to be able to define an "except" clause for "for". > check out the Changes. It contains a mention of iterators. Iteration over sequences could in some cases fail to check access to an object obtained from the sequence. Subsequent checks (such as for attributes access) of such an object would still be performed, but it should not have been possible to obtain the object in the first place. The "fix" does not seem to provide what this change describes. objectValues() *does* provide objects that "it should not have been possible to obtain" but now it raises an exception if an iterator assigns them. They could still, I assume, be passed to methods that fail to check object permissions. I don't see the value. --kyler

ZWiki: kludge around title-related error

Not long ago I upgraded the ZWiki product to ZWiki-0-27-1. I thought it was working o.k. until today when I started getting a KeyError with Values that were the same as the ZWiki Page title. If I blanked the title, no error was generated but that would break a bunch of things I already use. I tried upgrading to ZWiki-0-28-0. That had no effect. The expression causing the problem was standard:'here/primaryParentUrl' so I tried just removing it from wikipage_macros.pt (line 85). That seems to have solved the problem. --kyler

To get the catalog entry for a specific role I do: result = self.processRoles({'entityId':roleId}) where roleId is index value. the result is 'None', an object or a list of objects having the index. Search a Catalog in Python

Dear Zopers This time, I thought it should be simple, but I am struggling again: The idea was to search for items that have been catalogued successfully. In the Zope Book they describe how to do this using form and scripts. That works for me, too, but then I need to search in a regular Python program (An FS product). For this purpose, I found the ZCatalog.search method and gave it a try, but I cannot get it to work. It expects a dictionary, but what does that contain?
