VerboseSecurity and Zope270 on Windows

I downloaded the, I think, latest version of VerboseSecurity fron cvs.zope.org but can't get it to patch. On my WindowsXP I have:: security-policy-implementation python in my zope.conf and my runzope.bat file also has:: @set ZOPE_SECURITY_POLICY=PYTHON When I fire up zope the usual way (i.e. with runzope.bat) it says:: 2004-03-08T18:59:09 INFO(0) VerboseSecurity Unable to patch PermissionRole. To see permission names in Unauthorized exceptions, add 'security-policy-implementation python' to zope.conf. But I have done that. So, how should I do it? Hello Gary, I had a similar problem and I got around it by creating a file named "access" in my ZOPE_HOME directory. Inside the file have a single line containing "gary:secret". Restart Zope and then you will be able to log into to the ZMI with uid "gary" and pwd "secret". Then import your 2.6 acl_users folder. I suppose you should then delete the access file and restart zope. Hope this helps. Is the product you are trying to remove still installed? If not (grasps at straws), you might try reinstalling it then trying the xml export. I fear, however, that load_binput will still give you the same problems. At this point I'm in over my head. KInterBasDB - datetime conversion

Hello ! My problem is that: I want to load the records from an FB DB. The KIDB is get the DateTime fields as objects. I try with these things: #import time #sdate=row['LENDING_DATE'].strftime('%Y.%m.%d.') - it is show zope's password dialog #sdate=time.strftime('%Y.%m.%d.',row['LENDING_DATE']) - auth error #sdate=DateTime(row['LENDING_DATE']).strftime('%Y.%m.%d.') - zope have been died in this line sdate=str(row['LENDING_DATE']) - this is working... but... Errors Viewing PDF Files

Our site has some PDF's in the ZODB. The files don't show up properly inside the Acrobat plugin. Pages are missing. Browsers that save the entire file locally to disk are unaffected. Traceback (innermost last): Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 98, in publish Module ZPublisher.mapply, line 88, in mapply Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 39, in call_object Module OFS.Image, line 328, in index_html KeyError: 65536 The KeyError value varies from viewing to viewing. Although it says OFS.Image, I checked and these ARE file objects. Thoughts? Ed (Zope v 2.6.0)

Does Zope 2.6.x use a conf file? I don't have one anywhere, but am wondering if it would be used if I had one. Is there an example of one anywhere? -- John
