Hi all, I am trying to install plone. I installed an older version of Zope which I got to run. Just to let the community know, my family is about to move to a new home near my extended family. As part of this move, I will no longer be a full-time employee of Zope Corporation, but I will continue to use Zope and will do some part-time work for ZC. In particular, I plan to fix some problems on zope.org. I am going to work on advancing the state of the art in genealogy software at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm excited about the new position, but I'm sad to leave ZC. I have truly enjoyed working at Zope Corporation. The top-notch engineers and managers have stretched my understanding through innovative solutions to tough problems. Zope Corporation has a bright future. Shane

Separation of the Management Interface from Application

Hi, Separation of Zope Management Interface (MI) from other applications supported by the server is something that I would like to implement if possible. All applications currently supported by the server are accessible through HTTP (on port 80) and running MI over HTTPS only (port 443) would allow me to control access to the Zope Management Interface. I have an Apache server sitting in front of the Zope providing necessary SSL support and two SiteRoots on the Zope server; one in the RootFolder and other one in a custom created application folder located just bellow the RootFolder. RootFolder's SiteRoot contains base parameter that looks like this "https://www.fightclub.org/" and the application's SiteRoot created in the application folder has the base parameter set to "http://www.fightclub.org/Application/". This creates two virtual server one that is accessible over HTTPS and other over HTTP, which is exactly what I was hopping to achieve. However there is a small problem. The problem is that Application has to be managed over HTTP as all 'manage_worksplace' URLs are also rewritten by the Applications SiteRoot to HTTP. Is it possible to leave the Application SiteRoot as it is and introduce another URL mapping which would only translate application's 'manage_worksplace' URLs to HTTPs? I've tried using Rewriter but without success. Are there any other techniques that would allow separation of MI from the applications? cx_Oracle Zope adapter

Hi ya, has anyone yet seen/done Zope adapter for cx_Oracle python module? If there is none ready, what is the best place to begin to implement it. Since DCOracle and cxOracle implement same Python DB api should / could DCOracle's implementation be used as a base or is some other adaptor a better one to begin with? -huima

Anyone know of a framework or tool for dealing with ad hoc queries against a star-schema database for zope? After scratching around the zope and plone sites, I wasn't able to find anything; any leads would be great. -Aaron

Hello ! I have a zope.org site. This is: http://zope.org/Members/fowlertrainer In this page http://zope.org/Members/fowlertrainer/Published_Products/Update_SQL_Tool_Pr… I have some software release files. In edit mode I cannot see the copy/cut/other editor buttons in this "folder". Every folder is working, but this is not. I need some "garbage collection", so I want to delete some items.
