Zope and ssh/scp

I need to know whether or not Zope supports SSH and SCP. We will no longer be supporting FTP on our campus and need a portal solution that works with SSH and SCP. Do you have info regarding this? Tweaking performance

Hi, I've got questions around # threads and cache sizes to use with Zope / Plone 2. My server box is: Dell Poweredge server Intel XEON processors @ 2.4Ghz 4x73GB SCSI drives in a RAID 5 array 1GB RAM single CPU I've heard from some people that it can be advantageous to run more than one ZEO client per CPU, if the machine is fast enough. I've also heard from some people that fewer threads with larger caches can be faster and other people saying that performance with less than 4 threads can be sluggish. Anyone willing to comment further on there own experiences? Thanks, Gerry

Persistency of Variables Placed in the SESSION attribute of the REQUEST object

Hello. Does anyone know if there is a limit on how long a varible placed in the SESSION attribute of the REQUEST object can persist? I am setting a session variable using the following: <dtml-call "REQUEST.SESSION.set('newvar', REQUEST.form['chosenYear'])"> The variable chosenYear is submitted via a form and this value is placed in newvar. The value of newvar ceases to exist after I let my browser session lie idle for a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. - Asad
