Dear All. I just started development in ZOPE. can any one help me to find out contain of variable in another file? For Example. Test_html contains list of the text box in user is suppose to enter information. and when he press submit post method has been called and it goes to python script test_python In this script there are some operation get executed and a local variable(final_var) gets the information now i need to refer the string in another document lets called it as second_html. So i want to read the information from final_var and display in table format. Please if some one can help me . Thank you for your help.

Z SQL methods, Zope's abstraction of SQL queries or commands, support caching of results. They use non-persistent attributes to maintain the cache. However, such attributes are thread local. Therefore, it is very difficult to flush the cache when the application knows about the invalidation of potentially cached information. 'CCSQLMethods' use a cache shared by all threads that can be managed by any of the threads. They provide for fine grained cache control. New in version 0.2: * "flushCache" now works reliably across independant ZEO client processes. I don't think this is a fair response. First, he doesn't need all of Apache's (web server) advanced capabilities but he may still need some of Zope's (content management/application) capabilities. As you correctly point out, they are different types of tools. As for running behind all web servers, I think you way oversimplify the situation. First, Zope 2.7.x stopped support for PCGI so you can't fallback on that. Second, I run two sites behind two somewhat exotic web servers (Roxen and iPlanet) and neither was easy to setup and I'm not happy with the current configurations. Getting information on specific details of interfacing Zope to these servers has been difficult and the integration was far from seamless. Access Permission by Domain and without Login?

For a Zope 2.7/Plone 2 site, I would like to restrict (otherwise) anonymous access to certain specific pages or methods to people making the request from specific domains. I know that I can specify a domain for a particular user, but I want this to apply to anyone, without any special per-user configuration, and without requiring a login. Also I want to do this without putting Zope behind Apache or any other proxy, if this is possible. I don't recall seeing this discussed. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to accomplish this? hi. i have a form, which contains a table describing some objects (in zodb). these objects are grouped in several folders: ParentFolder | |--- Folder1 | here are some object |--- Folder2 | and here too ... there is a radio button in every column, used to select one of object. there are also several submit buttons - 'edit', 'view' etc. pressing such button causes a proper method invocation on proper object: lista=[] folders = container.objectValues(['Folder']) # container == ParentFolder for folder in folders: lista.append(folder.objectValues(['SomeObjectClass'])[0]) # let's say, we add only one object ret = context.REQUEST['radio'] for i in lista: if i.objectID == ret: return i.action(context.REQUEST) unfortunatelly, the code above doesnt change the context. i mean, when you press 'view' button, you are getting a proper view of some object, but the context is not changed to FolderX/objectID, but is still ParentFolder. this causes problems - when on the view page you click on 'edit', zope tries to execute edit method of ParentFolder, not of FolderX/objectID. my question: how to change the context, and execute a proper methon on the object? i tried that way: instead of: return i.action(context.REQUEST) i used: return context.REQUEST.RESPONSE.redirect(properContext+methodName) but this solution is not acceptable, because it loses form data stored in REQUEST (there are another input's in the form, not only the radio button to select the object) i have no bloody idea, how to do it :) greetings, kuba
