You told me the layout wasn't optimal for Zope, but gave me a one-word clue that was so cryptic, I cannot figure out your point. I have not found any 'best practices', how-tos or any other guidance in the Zope books that clue me in to whatever it was that made you say it wasn't optimal. Zope Technical Solutions July 16-22, 2004 - Additional Session

Zope Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of a July 2004 Zope Technical Solutions session. It will be held July 19th through the 22nd at our Fredericksburg, VA headquarters. The "early bird" rate of $1,995 per person will be extended to July 16, 2004. After that, the rate increases to $2,495. This four day course will familiarize students with Zope software from introductory through advanced topics. Thanks Ausum and Sergey. I rebuilt Python and so far no segfaults. I too would like to hear of any tips or tricks to improve Zope performance on FreeBSD, if anyone has any. zope product, object manager problem

I have a zope interface Person with a PersonImplementation that inherits from OFS.ObjectManager. When I try to add some product (eg a Folder) instance to an instance of a Person, everything appears to work, but nothing shows up in the listing of the person. Eg if I go to http://my.server:8080/sandbox/jdh/manage_main where jdh is a Person instance, I see There are currently no items in jdh I am posting my code below in hopes someone can point out my mistake. I am trying to follow the code example from the ZDG. Problem converting PIL-generated Image objects to Photo 1.2.3 objects

Hello, I am having a problem converting Image objects generated by PIL to Photo objects (rbickers' Photo & Photo Folder 1.23) in Zope 2.7.0. The error I get is: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: 'str' object has no attribute 'read' I am uploading an image into Zope, I am using an External Method & PIL to standardize the dimensions & format of the image. The method is extremely similar to the example the the Zope Book example of External Methods & PIL Thumbnail script. At this point, I'd like to take these homegenous image objects and convert them to Photo objects inside a PhotoFolder and take advantage of the render-on-the-fly sizes. I'm using RBickers' script image2photo python script, and I get the above error.
