changing passwd, api

I have a change passwd form in a python product. Standard issue stuff: the user types his old passwd in and the new passwd twice, and if all is hunky-dory I call aclFolder._doChangeUser(authUserName, REQUEST['newpasswd'], roles, domains='') Problem is, they are redirected to a page that requires authentication and they get prompted for authentication with their new passwd since their old passwd has been changed. Is there anything I can call or do to handle this step for them so they don't have to enter their passwd yet again? Thanks, John Hunter zope 2.7

In an attempt to solicit information about DCWorkflow from those in the know, while simultaneously being more useful than not, I've written and posted a preliminary step-by-step howto on creating a minimal custom workflow. bobobase-modification-time problem

My users wants to edit pages with dreamweaver, so we have to have a index_html in the root containing: <dtml-var index.html> now, this works ok, but: when i use bobobase-modification-time to present the date when the document last change, it does not show the time of the correct object (ie: the object I want it to get the date from) structure as follow: root |----------------Folder1 | | | |-------index.html | |-------Folder2 | | |------index_html |----------index.html I have tried these two functions: <dtml-var expr="bobobase_modification_time().strftime('%d/%m/%Y, %H:%M')"><br> <dtml-var expr="REQUEST['PUBLISHED'].bobobase_modification_time().strftime('%d/%m/%Y, %H:%M')"> When i go to /root/Folder1/Folder2 I get: 1-----> 12/07/2004, 12:24 (date of Folder2) 2-----> 12/07/2004, 11:45 (date of index_html in root-folder) line nr two is "wrong" but when I try to access /root/Folder1/Folder2/index.html I get what I want: 1-----> 12/07/2004, 12:24 (date of Folder2) 2-----> 12/07/2004, 12:45 (date of index.html in Folder2) How to solve this? all documents are dtml-methods Best regards

ZMI character set woe

The ZMI frameset appears to be in UTF-8, but the pt_editForm frame declares itself as ISO 8859-1 (Zopes 2.6 - 2.71 and presumably all others). This is causing me serious grief. Is there any way to change the encoding of pt_editForm and, if there is, are there any known problems with doing so? External Editor problem

I've been using version 0.6 and will upgrade to 0.7.2 shortly. Let me know if you've already encountered this and fixed it. Some of my users insist on using WindowsXP Home and IE. The external editor fails. Running the helper application standalone works fine. Runing Firefox as the browser works fine after a bit of fancy twostepping to get it configured. The diagnostic from IE is FATAL ERROR: [Errorno 2] No such file or directory: 'C:\\Documents and Settings\\joe\\Local Settings\\Temporary Internet Files\\Content.IE5\\11Q3QMRM\MyTest[1].zope' which appears to be a bad path in the helper application. I believe that the correct path is ...\\Local Settings\\Temp\\Temporary Internet Files\\..

Time taken to render a page template

Hi All, How would I go about displaying the time it takes to render a page template? (eg. it took 0.003 seconds to render this page) Is there a simple python call, or will i have to use a python script? Thanks -tim zegir

Dear all, When working in version I mistakely close one of the browser without quit working in the version. As a result some of the objects i have opened are locked and i cannot modify them again. i have gone through the archives I am yet to see the solution to this.
