question about stopping acquisition in VHM sites?

Hi, How do I stop acquisition at the root of my website? If I have two websites in zope, and I set the virtual host mapping to www.sitea.com/websites/SiteA <http://www.sitea.com/websites/SiteA> www.siteb.com/websites/SiteB <http://www.siteb.com/websites/SiteB> I don't want my users to get to SiteB from http://www.sitea.com/SiteB I am using Zope 2.7 Thanks, Gary

I'm using Zope 2.7.x on RHEL 3.x without trouble ... Though I should be upgrading to CentOS 4.x fairly soon ... what problems have you heard of? As for Zope, if you're not sure, then you probably want 2.8.x ... 3.1 is stable, but for lower level development ... also depends what features you need ... some CMF things aren't avilable in it yet. Ah ok, well yeah, in my experience it happens that some requirements exceed the version in the distro. Even if they did *today*, 6 months from now when another Zope comes out requiring a new python version, you'd have to build one yourself anyways. Might as well get used to it now :) It's pretty straight-forward mind you. And most of us don't like rolling our own packages if we don't have to I'd guess. :) But I've decided to give CentOS 4.2 (or RHEL4U2 in "that" language :)) a shot anyway. Regards, Harald

Filesystem Page Template lowercase-ifying all my tags

I have a product that installs some filesystem page templates into a plone site's portal_skins. The templates are exactly the same as their created-through-ZMI counterparts, yet the filesystem templates render with all their tags lower-cased, whereas the ZMI-created templates preserve case. Why is this happening? Zope 2.7.7-final, python 2.3.5, freebsd5 Page Templates 1.4.0 Thanks! fm

Zope/Editor problems

I need some sort of content editor and have looked at both Epoz and Kupu. My problem is that I can't get any of them to work. If I install Epoz, Zope crashes without any error messages. With Kupu I get KeyError's when I try to look at it in the ZMI. I have Zope installed from packages in a Debian system. Is this the reason? I also have a KeyError problem with SessionCrumbler. I am running Zope 2.7.5, Python 2.3.5. I have Plone installed too but am not using it. Are these editors even usable by me? The final system will be very bare bones. No Plone or similar at all. I found the Kupu documentation a bit cryptic too. As I am very new to Zope, I want a simple functioning example how to edit a simple document object. Epoz has this but I could not try it because of the crash. I have googled around a lot, but I haven't found anything that resembles my problems.

FileUpload get_size() method?

Hello, Does a FileUpload object have a get_size() method? I'd like to limit the size of an uploaded file before commiting it to the ZODB. I've been Googling for a while. Is it handled differently on a FileUpload object. I'm planning to process with a Python Script. Could someone point me in the right direction? <img src="... problem with Firefox

Hi all, i have a problem with Firefox. As you can see bellow i am retrieving some data from sql server with the use of external method "GetPrList" and then show taht data. The data of "_['sequence-index']==2" is the full name of an image file to the file system. So i use: <a href="file///<dtml-var expr="str(_['sequence-item'])">"> <img src="file///<dtml-var expr="str(_['sequence-item'])">" alt="Alt Text" width="150" height="150" > </a> to show that image. I works fine with IE 6 (both the image shows and the link works), but when i try it with firefox it does not show the image neither the link works. The only thing i can see is the "Alt Text" marked as hyperlink, that shows like "http://localhost:81/Members/demo/Panorama/PriceList/Test_A_Voisys/file///%5…" witch tells me that it adds "http://localhost:81/Members/demo/Panorama/PriceList/Test_A_Voisys/" to what i tell it to be. I quess this is the same reason why the image does not show. How can i tell that what i ask as src="... and href="... is not relative but absolut? Do i do something else wrong so that the image does not in Forefox only? I have tried chenging the settings of firefox about image loading but it does not seem to work... SQLOS, Zope2 and Five

SQLObject has been updated since original release of SQLOS. It appeared to me yesterday, reviewing the trunk of SVN of SQLOS that it looks like it has being brought up to date. New versions of Five (1.2 and 1.3) also appear to be released soon. I am anxious to move to a different approach to SQL with SQLObject and SQLOS. Can anyone comment about what the new bundle of Zope2 and Five will bring to the table this way. Will SQLOS approach be possible with form generation using Zope schema with these new releases.
