Pass <dtml-var sequence-item> as parameter to External Method

I have an External Method "CharSetConv" that get a String_To_Be_Converted, its encoding and the encoding to convert it to. I call it like this: <dtml-in sequence-item> <td><dtml-var expr="CharSetConv(_, 'String_To_Be_Converted', 'ISO-8859-7', 'UTF-8')"> </td> </dtml-in> but in the place of 'String_To_Be_Converted' i want to pass <dtml-var sequence-item>, and i can not find the way to do so. i have tried to write it like: <dtml-in sequence-item> <td><dtml-var expr="CharSetConv(_, '<dtml-var sequence-item>', 'ISO-8859-7', 'UTF-8')"> </td> </dtml-in> but does not work Can anyone help please? Display images stored in Relational DB

Hello all, I try to display some images stored in SQL Server 2K. What i do is: I have an External Method "GetPrList" witch is connected to a python module that reads like this def GetPrListData(self, sysDSN="Test_A_Voisys", usr="sa", mypass="voisys"): id = self.id import dbi import odbc connection=odbc.odbc(sysDSN+'/'+usr+'/'+mypass) cur=connection.cursor() sSQL='SELECT M.CODE,M.NAME,X.SODATA FROM dbo.MTRL M JOIN dbo.XTRDOCDATA X ON M.MTRL=X.REFOBJID WHERE X.SOSOURCE=51 AND M.MTRGROUP=3' cur.execute(sSQL) data=cur.fetchall() cur.close() connection.close() return data X.SODATA is jpg stored in SQL 2K in a field degined as [SODATA] [image] NULL The above select returns -executed from within PythonWin- the folowing: [('ACC.ART.0001', 'xd3xc5xd4 xc2xc9xc4xc5xd3 & xd0xc1xcexc9xccxc1xc4xc9xc1 xccxc5 xc5xcbxc1xd4 andy', <DbiRaw object at 0x0099D2A0>), ('ACC.CO3.0001', 'BATTERY xccxcfxcbxd5xc2xc4xcfxd5 12V', <DbiRaw object at 0x0099D2D0>), ('ACC.CO3.0002', 'MExcbxc1xcdxc9 xcfxcaxc9 10i/12i/14e', <DbiRaw object at 0x0099D2C0>)] Then from a DTML Method "ShowResults" i call the above External Method "GetPrList" and show its results in a table. How can i call a pyhton module's function from with in Page Temmplates?

Hello, i saw that from within a DTML Method one is able to call a fuction of a python module in the file system. Now i want to get the funtion's results from within a Page Template. Is the right way to make a Script(Python) that calls this module's function and then call this Script(Python) from within my Page Template? Is there any other less nifty way to do this? access rule and authentication

Hi, Python Script which is set as "Access Rule" for some Folder is execute before authentication is done. This way the following code won't work if context.portal_membership.getAuthenticatedUser().getId() == "admin": return "dog" return "cat" I will always get "cat". So does somebody know how to resolve it? Regards Krzychula

DateTime again.

Is it possible to informe the DateTime module about the date format without changing the zope.conf file? Format: dd/mm/yyyy When I try the <dtml-var "DateTime(12/11/2005)"> it returns 2005/12/11 instead of 2005/11/12. Thanks in Advance. Fernando Lujan
