Getting Zope from CVS? SVN?

Hi all So, err, what's the relation between Zope CVS and SVN these days? http://www.zope.org/DevHome/CVS/FrontPage just says "Some Zope related development is now hosted in Subversion." Read a file

Hi I have files stored in zope.I want before user download that file a preview of the file to be shown.So what I was thinking of is read the contents of the file and store it in another file with content-tye text/html.The problem is I dont know how to read the file stored in zodb.Any help? __________________________________ Celebrate Yahoo!'s 10th Birthday! Restricting access to zope site

Is there any way of restricting access to a particular zope site to an internal network? I'm referring to one zope site rather than all sites within a zope instance. -- John

Access to Data.fs without Zope ?

Hello, Last summer I wrote an application to inventarise all my media (books, CD's, periodicals, etc) which worked well, but wasn't yet complete. Anyway, I started adding books as an exercise to see how it could be improved. However, I run Debian testing, and after some updates in the fall I could not get access anymore to my data. Today I tried to move the contents of Zope default to a known running instance of Zope, but the moment I do that, the Zope instance cannot be started anymore. Replace the contents back by its originals and the instance can be started once again. So, is there a way to access the contents of the Data.fs file without using Zope alltogether, so that I at least can start working again ? Regards, Jurgen

ZMySQLDA-2.0.9b3 released

https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=22307&package_id=381… This release fixes the problem of MySQLdb-1.0.0 and newer returning BLOBs as character arrays, and returns them as strings. It also should be a bit more robust if connections time out. I would really like to get some feedback on this release within the next week so I can make a final release for 2.0.9. Here's an open issue: Should character data be returned as unicode? It probably wouldn't be hard to implement, but I wonder how much other stuff would break. There's already a ton of stuff being stuffed in the connection string, but it probably needs to be a connection option, doesn't it? -- Computer interfaces should never be made of meat. Using GMail? jonathan sir , thanks for that detailed solution. but i guess my problem was simpler. i cudnt explain it properly . I've to rebuilt a login page in zope which i'd developed in asp. I'd used javascript to do wat u've mentioned in 3rd soln. but the javascript is not at all being executed in zope. This is wat i wanted : as soon as i select a district from a combobox the corresponding user list in next combobox sud appear.the data are being fetched from Mysql using the ZSQL queries. AND CAN WE ANYWAY USE JAVASCRIPT IN DTML DOCUMENTS. please tell me the soln in ZOPE.

CMF Photo FTP Error?

Zope 2.7.4, CMF 1.4, Photo & Photo Folder (something) I can add photos through the ZMI, but through FTP I get this and it was working great in Zope 2.7b4. thnx 4 the tip. but i got the following error when testing Error Type AttributeError Error Value 'dict' object has no attribute 'districtname' I don have anything like 'dict' . the stmt was ; <div tal:repeat="district python:context.getDistrictUser(district_name=request.form.districtname)"> district_name is parameter name in ZSQL method. i must tell u dat this repeat tag is being used to fill data in a combobox n i'm getting the districtname from another combobox selection. The same logic worked with asp but don kno y giving error here.plz help. parameter passing problem.

I've a parmetarized ZSQL method used to fill data in a combobox. When changing the selection of another combobox i'm calling the page itself again and have to pass the value in the previously selected combobox as parameter in the ZSQL method filling data in 2nd combobox. i tried this <div tal:repeat="district container/getDistrictUser" request.form.districtname> , districtname is the parameter to be passed what sud be the correct syntax
