Can this be taken to mean that: - the practical maximum number of threads to run your single (non-ZEO) zope instance is {number of zodb connections in pool} else you risk deadlock if yes, would upping the number of ZODB connections effectively raise the ceiling - e.g. 12 ZODB connections -> 12 threads should perform properly ? Is increasing the number of ZODB cx's possible, let alone advisable? (why the default of 7 - not 6 or 8?) More concretely, is there any good way to increase the request-handling capacity of a standalone instance, beyond the limits imposed by the defaults, without deploying ZEO? > > To put it in a very simple way, you should not tweak the > threads setting unless you really know what you are doing. custom_zodb.py and Control_Panel

Help.. I accidentally deleted admin at the root acl_users I try to create the emergency and inituser using zpasswd.py but when I try to get into ZMI by http://localhost:8080/manage, all zope pass back to me is You are not authorized to access this resource. Username and password are not correct. can someone tell me the exact step I have to do. From first to Last. I'm really need to get this fix before Monday. This site I constructed with zope was suppose to be up on Sunday. Now its not going to happen, I hope I could get it up on Monday.

Exporting Plone objects to Zope CMF

Dear Zope-list, Running with Zope 2.7.5 Plone 2.0.5.. What "nice" method exists, if any, to export CMF-ish things like documents, events, and news items from Plone to ZopeCMF? (Or, what search terms may have escaped me?) Ideally, I'd like to be able to export folders in Plone and import them to Zope CMF such that Plone-ized CMF items were magically de-Ploned (and allow for sufficiently Plone-ized things to remain broken). Unfortunately, importing folders or most other objects raises a Copy Error:: "Object *broken* does not support this operation." I'm just wondering if there are options to porting content by hand ..which will be less than a day's work in this case (we're just getting started). In absence of a nice method, I'm curious what methods others may have applied in a similar situation. Mahalo, Priam

Zope large-file-threshold

Hello, i'm trying to upload a large file (90Mb) via a web form. While doing so I expect Zope writing a temporary file into /tmp because the request is large than 'large-file-threshold' in zope.conf. But it all gets loaded into memory and no file ist created in /tmp. Am I missing something ? My Setup ist Zope-2.7.5 and Python 2.3.5 Regards Joern
