Hi! I would like to run a script to see what objects size is, printing the zodb path. analize.py gives me a floating point division error, so I would like to ask if there's a simpler way to see what there's inside the ZODB. Thanks.

hello! everything was working fine until a couple of days ago and now.. Obviously I have no exact traceback of what was done on the machine, but I updated my gentoo box by emerging some apps (nothing apparently involving plone/zope/python/mysql...) :-( Now I really do not know where to bang my head..perhaps on re module?? thanks.. Iowa Python User's Group Meeting (November 3rd)

Hi, The next Iowa Python Users Group (AKA Pyowa) is nearly upon us. We will be meeting November 3rd, from 7-9 p.m. at the following location: Marshall County Sheriff's Office 2369 Jessup Ave Marshalltown, IA 50158 At this meeting, we will be having a Crash Course of sorts for all the new programmers in our group. As anyone who has ever taken a programming course know, it is impossible to teach everything in two hours, so we'll be focusing on tools that will allow our group to help themselves. In other words, we'll be focusing on source code analysis techniques like introspection and how to use IDLE effectively. There will also be a presentation on basic GUI design and also Django. We will have 8 laptops there to use for any new people, pre-loaded with Python 2.5.2 and any additional packages we need for our presentations. You are welcome to bring your own laptop if you want. Be sure to have 2.5 on yours as well as wxPython and the PyWin32 package (if you use Windows). We will have them on USB flash drives should you forget. Free pop and bottled water will be provided. Building a site tree with the ZCatalog

Hi there I use Zope 2.10.5 and I want to create a site tree using the ZCatalog instead of iterating recursive trough the entire object tree. I have the following site structure (all things are folders): - about --- company --- staff ----- homepages ------- phelps --- phonebook --- jobs - research --- ocean ----- atlantic ----- pacific --- lake --- river My ZCatalog contains these entries: - /research - /research/ocean - /research/ocean/pacific - /research/ocean/atlantic - /research/lake - /research/river - /about - /about/company - /about/staff - /about/staff/homepages - /about/staff/homepages/phelps - /about/staff/phonebook - /about/jobs - /about What I need is a list of these entries ordered according to the site structure. I would like to get this list: ['/about', '/about/company', '/about/staff', '/about/staff/homepages', '/about/staff/homepages/phelps', '/about/phonebook', '/about/jobs', '/research', '/research/ocean', '/research/ocean/atlantic', '/research/ocean/pacific', '/research/lake', '/research/river' ] My Zcatalog is configured as follows: Indexes: - path - position - title - id Metadata: - physical_path - title - id The index 'position' contains the a folder's position in it's parent folder. In my example the folder "phonebook" contains "3" for position because it is in the 3rd position inside it's parent folder ("about").
