Proxy Error on Squishdot Re-catalog.

Hello all, Linux Medical News http://www.linuxmednews.com is a quite large Squishdot based website. I am attempting to re-catalog all postings which is a fairly lengthy process. When I try to do this, it works for a period of time then gives this message: Proxy Error The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request POST /. Reason: Error reading from remote server Apache/2.2.6 (Fedora) Server at linuxmednews.com Port 80 What should I do? -- IV

Zope 2.x for Py 2.6 as 64 bit Windows application?

Dear all We're contemplating the move of our Zope 2.x application to 64-bit Windows. We rely on a few add-on packages, notably PyWin, which has 64-bit support for Py 2.6 only. I'd be grateful for a rough idea on when there could be a Zope 2.x release working with Python 2.6 as a 64-bit Windows application. webdav upload - controlling type, hook

When uploading a file to the zope db using the webdav interface zope select on object type based on the file contents (or extension?). For instance when I upload a html file it becomes a DTML document. Is there any way to control what type of object is selected? Additionally I would like to execute some script code after a webdav upload. Is there any way to get a hook or callback or something similar? Thanks, Jakob

Zope hangs

Hi there in the last days my Zope server seems to hang and the CPU is almost every time at 100 %. VHM / traverse subpath interaction bug?

Hi All, I've tried this on Zope 2.8-2.11.1 and it behaves the same on all but feels like a bug. I wonder if anyone else agrees or, better yet, knows what's going on here... So, add a Script (Python) called test in the root on a Zope instance running on port 8080 and in it put: return repr(traverse_subpath) Now go to: http://localhost:8080/test/x/y/z ..you'll get: ['x', 'y', 'z'] ...which makes sense. Now, if you have a VHM called virtual_hosting (as it normally is) if you go to: http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/https/example.com:443/test/VirtualHos… ...you'll now get: ['virtual_hosting', '/', 'x', 'y', 'z'] ...which doesn't seem right to me. Worse yet, if you go to: http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/https/example.com:443/test/VirtualHos… ...you get: ['virtual_hosting', '/something', 'x', 'y', 'z'] Anyone got any ideas as to what's going on here? cheers, Chris -- Simplistix - Content Management, Zope & Python Consulting - http://www.simplistix.co.uk

change password through script messes up session

Hello all, I'm trying to write a piece of code that just changes the password of a user as they are logged in. This is in a Script(Python). I'm using PAS and CookieCrumbler and the code is as follows: container.acl_users.users.manage_updateUserPassword(user['id'],password,password) This does work and change the password, however what happens then is anytime I try to access a resource that I could view prior to changing the password, I get a basic pop-up auth login prompt (even though I'm using CookieCrumbler), and entering the new creds doesn't work. If I logout through the login/logout link and log back in with the web form, everything is fine (and the new creds do work then). Here is the error that's thrown in the logs: Traceback (innermost last): Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 106, in publish Module ZPublisher.BaseRequest, line 468, in traverse Module ZPublisher.HTTPResponse, line 687, in unauthorized Unauthorized: <strong>You are not authorized to access this resource.</strong> So basically, I can't access any protected object until I log out and log back in. Anyone have any insight here? I've been trying to read the Plone source code to figure out how they do it but I can't get their code to work... I've been searching around for an answer to this all weekend but can't find anything :( Thanks for the help, - Teebes

FieldIndex: unindex_object tried to retrieve set x from index y but couldn't

Hi All, I'm having another problem with the Zope instance I upgraded to 2.11. I see the following every so often: FieldIndex: unindex_object tried to retrieve set DateTime('2000/03/09 13:25:10 GMT') from index date but couldn't. This should not happen. What does this mean? Moving zope data.fs

Hi everybody, I have two Data.fs files and the Products directory from a server that was running two Plone websites (don't know anything more about Zope or Plone versions than it was Plone 2.5.x) that I'm trying to get up and running on the new server with no access to the old installation (we re-installed the server) but I can't get it to work in any way I have tried. I can't get Zope to read the database or it will not start at all. When I tried with the universal installer for Plone 2.5.3 (I think it was this version I got the longest with) I got it to read the database files but then I get program errors on almost every page in the ZMI so I can't go on with the installation. Anybody got a clue on how to get the pages up and running again or do I have to start over and add all information manually in two new Plone pages? I'm posting it here because I see it as a Zope error because I don't get near Plone before it fails. //jakob
